After 6 months stuck on platinum I finally made it. I finally got promoted to the DIAMOND league! Feels good man. Next stop > Masters.
I was beating diamond players before I got promoted, everything was great and I thought to myself that if diamond players were that easy to beat I was going to do well on diamond....until...
Oh god, I'm seriously scared now, I really don't want to get demoted back to platinum, i've been getting infinity ZvZ and I'm even having trouble with ZvT (wich is, in my opinion, my favourite and best matchup). This might be something in my mind, a small "wall' that I have to evercome in order to start playing better? not sure really.
I would like to have some practice partners aswell (EU servers) high diamond or even masters, that are willing to help me improve, to tell me where my flaws are (everytime I watch my replays I can't seem to find anything extremely wrong besided supply blocking myself).
I have looked all over the place for ZvZ strats, here in the forum and on youtube but they don't seem any helpful 'cause every zerg on ladder go for this stupid speedling baneling all in, and when a good, long macro game starts, I feel more than lost.
Anyway, I guess I'll take a rest from now, I've been playing like crazy this last two days, hopefully that will help me clear my mind aswell.
Cheers!
PS: So yeah, has anybody ever felt this way? you achieve something (in this case SC) and then you're too scared to continue for whatever reason?

It's just a bad streak. I went 7-1 at the start of season 2, then I went 2-15 due to 17 pvps in a row.
It will even out eventually, just bad luck. If you were on US I'd practice with ya =) Goodluck mate.

Sounds like you started to chicken out, because the promotion to Diamond doesn't mean you suddenly start getting more difficult opponents. The promotion is a superficial thing that only acknowledges that you've done well.
It's normal to get impressed at first, you just need to relax, while making sure you don't get demoted in the meantime LOL
My suggestion: load up single player and play like 20 games vs computers, practice your favorite builds, make your mechanics rock solid so that even if you get scared in a real game, your muscle memory still does its thing.

Yup, i understand. I got to diamond on SEA server, got scared, so started playing on NA server, and somehow got to 1v1 master there, so i went back to SEA and unfortunately got 1v1 master here as well. Then I am like oh sh... So now I play 2v2 =D

If you want long good macro games get to masters. From my experience in diamond, most people will do stupid all in builds. And they get super creative with them. Scout often scout hard. I scout with 10th drone every single game. It's definately worth it. vZ you can check for early pool/expand. vT vP you can make sure theyre not doing some cheese and you can gas steal to limit their stupid all in options. They are much less likely to go banshee/void ray if you take their gas but you gotta be careful to reajust to possible allin they could be doing because you stole their gas.
Basically just scout and learn to deal with allins. Or allin yourself.

I've started to allin myself on ZvZ, there's nothing else that I can do, 15 hatch or even 14 pool feel extremely dangerous for me vsZ.
I try scouting most of the time, but I think that I have a horrible horrible flaw and it is that I get supply blocked ALL THE TIME, it is really annoying, and I can't afford losing that many overlords to sout. I prefer suiciding one or two lings to see what he's doing. But this simply won't work vs a protoss or terran that's hiding tech, that's for sure.

Hiding tech is easier said than done, usually people build it on the edges so OL's can scout it, and if it's not a super fast tech you should have overseers or OL speed to check it.

Play the matches you're comfortable with with great emphasis on your mechanics, I did that for 10-20 games making sure not to get supply blocked *at all* until 40+ food and it's helped me no end.
I myself am high diamond, fighting some masters players now and winning. My trouble, too, is with ZvZ.
I'm trying 13h 14g 13p and it's working alright, I'm fine if it hits mid-late game too but bah, bloody baneling / speedling builds are ruining me
PM me if you want to practise a a bit, I'm on EU as well!

For people that get frustrated easily like myself it IS a big deal. We're not all emotionless robots you know?

Be scared to get into masters where losses make you cry.
All of them.

What's wrong with being demoted back to platinum?
I'm guessing you're better than most platinum players - if your rating tanks for a bit, enjoy the easier games for awhile. Soon enough you'll be winning again and you'll get back up to diamond.
That's the mentality I have - if I win, awesome, I won. If I lose, my rating goes down and I can beat easier opponents.
Just remember that you can't possibly get any WORSE by playing (unless you're practicing bad mechanics or something). Play the game. Every game you play results in improvement. Whether you win or lose, you're still improving.
Of course, if you drop down to gold, we might have a problem. =P

Lose apparently.
The entire matchup is just meh :\ Either korean 4gate, proxy gate / canons regular 4gate or blink stalker rush.
I just don't like the MU lol.

I felt the same way when I got to diamond but it was foolish. The important thing to to realize is you are not going to get drastically better opponents because you are in diamond. Your MMR gradually goes up and it promotes you when it hits a certain point, but you will slowly face slightly better opponents as it goes up, as you always have.
I would love to practice with you but no access to EU server.
For zvz I have been having success with a 14 gas 13 pool fast speedling build and from there use my first two lings to scout and then can transition well into an all in, counter all in, or hatch for a macro game. If I scout ones base roach warren I just expo and switch to roaches. One base baneling I get roaches If I spot it early one but if I spot it late I go for defensive banelings and try to expand. If I spot a fast expand I go for baneling and try to kill him or expand myself and go for a macro game. If I scout 6 or more lings in the early game I assume he is going for a ling or bling all in and I throw down a roach warren to be safe, if you wait to spot the baneling nest it will be late and it's still possible to defend but much more difficult. Once I am in macro mode I like to go roach then infestor, then add in a few (8-12) hydras for extra damage. I try to max out and take bases so I can win the reinforcement war later on.
