TSL tonight was actually perfect. I wouldn't typically sit in on a saturday night for any tournament but with TSL I'm not left with much choice.
Perfect commentary by chill and day. Perfect obs by hot_bid. Perfect hype. Perfect graphic work (and especially the portraits omfg) Huge prize pool. Perfect qualification (seriously I wish every tournament could be run like this). Perfect players showing amazing games. Not a single uninteresting matchup. Perfect map pool. Perfect streaming (everything ran sooo smooth, that is probably the only big complaint I can think of regarding TSL2 but TL obviously made sure not to repeat that mistake) Great audience, felt like the whole event had a really positive vibe in IRC and the LR thread with few complaints and little balance talk which is unusual. After the unfortunate unfortunate boxer disc. The way TL dealt with it was, again, just perfect. My god, it's so professional!
Seriously this is like the best thing ever. You guys should be so proud of how incredibly well you've done! Huge thanks to all the dedicated and passionate people involved in this. <3

I 100% agree.
TSL is the best managed tournament i've ever seen and the games have been amazing.
yeah! Really good job teamliquid!!!!!!!!
As I was telling some of the admins earlier - this has some of the most epic production value ever. I love it!

the best part is, its not even over yet!

TSL fightinggggggggg!!!! <3

I think the LR being free of balance whining is thanks to the banning spreed during the finals half a day earlier :D

Yeah, I don't usually watch SC2 tournaments, but TSL is TSL....
And boy, it didn't disappoint one bit!
very good obs control by hot_bid
yea best show ever ! TSL makes night perfect
AHHH Mazing production value. Great tourney.
The only thing they dont have is casters together in studio, apart from that it is perfect.
Thanks TL for bringing us these awesome lineups!
i am just scared when someone else casting not that i dont like them but i will miss day9 every time soo much ..
also i am afraid about one result today + Show Spoiler +the 2-1 of boxer vs nightend i rly hoped the european could win
Best tournament I've watched so far, so smooth, great games. And it's only the ro32.
I accidentally slept through the first two sets, but caught the second two and I gotta' say I'm really impressed. Everything from the amazing production value of the videos/stream, to the insane professionalism of everything about it was really impressive!
I think my favorite part is the fact that there's finally a "big" non-Korean tournament meaning that I don't have to stay up 'till obscure times of the night just to watch the games. VODs are nice and all but there is nothing like watching live.
edit: tl;dr TSL3 is fracking awesome!
I totally agree, TSL today was excellent. The stream was especially impressive -- great quality, almost no lag.
Absolutely 100% agree. I was watching this with some non-SC people and they were all surprised at how professional the whole operation looked. Really impressive job TL!
TSL is always awesome. I didn't like the opening compared to the past TSLs though. The art was obviously incredible but the video is usually such an incredible hype machine in itself, this one didn't really have the same impact. Some games were outstanding but others left me a little less than satisfied :p
On the technical side of things I don't think TSL has ever done better. No delays or anything, it just went super smooth. Chill was 5 seconds behind the stream, but it was only noticeable a few times.
On the game side of things... Really it's still not my thing.
Yea I have to agree. Not only do I not have to stay up till 4 am to watch, the stream quality is great, which is more than I can say for GSL SQ.
I stayed up late to watch the GLS finals and then colapsed into sleep.
when I woke up I watched TLS :D best saterday ever
TSL <3<3<3 lim yooo hwaaaaaaaaa< <3<3<3 tyleeeeeeeeeer <3<3
Even the ending was worth watching.
Fantastic stuff.
It definitely was great, but I thought + Show Spoiler +the boxer-nightend series was a bit dull. Every game they waited until 200 or near 200, and then a single ball vs ball engagement decided the game.

NASL is not going to have anything on TSL if they don't include Koreans, even if the Koreans don't play well I get so hyped and love watching the best players from each country play each other.

what a way to kick it off ! Just amazing production, everything was so professional. TL is on a roll with that one
Amazingly well managed, agree fully. I doubt my opinion will change even when undergoing the four hours of studying and work that I pushed back to watch this!
Amazing tournament! TL is indeed the greatest community around. At some point there were at least 35k viewers on the stream.
+ Show Spoiler +i love how thorzain ruined my bracket on the first day <3
if hasuobs wins tomorrow the tournament cannot become any better
awesome awesome awesome

My only complaint would be moving the ustream logo from the top corner like some SC streamers have done to keep the food visible.
Other than that it was a pretty sweet way to spend the afternoon.
I don't even know how to say this without the risk of sounding rude, please don't get me wrong, I loved every bit of the cast... but was hoping for winner interviews o.o
Maybe they will come out in the future, would make me a happy panda =o

Yeah, that would be nice. Hopefully it isn't visible in the vods though.

TL is going to explode when one of the big 3 loses to a foreigner. Thorzain is already a champion
Too bad I work overnight shift, and accidentally dosed off while waiting for it to start. ((((((((((((((((((((
I was extremely happy with the production, and even happier with the results.
Predicting the first 4 winners correctly puts me on the way to getting Jinro to sign my shirt ^^
TSL3 #1 tournament!! Huge thanks to everyone so far... and to think we are only in the ro32!
I too am 4/4 in my bracket so far! :D
edit: Is their anything on the numbers so far? Like peak concurrent viewers?

Also to this, I think that the opening was good. It wasn't as epic as say the last ones, but I expect it to get "more epic" as the tournament goes on. I think for the final 8 or so we will see the whole song + player portrait deal.
I could only watch the Tyler games, what happened during boxers DC?
I loved it :D only thing that blew was boxer vs nightend, 2nd game was so annoying and all of them were so passive but apart from that it was awesome :D
Agreed, they have done a great job with this event. I can't think of anything else I would want, except for TSL to move to a monthly tournament instead of a once a year deal.
This tournament is going to demonstrate very clearly that having at LEAST about half of the players from an actual system of qualifieers is by far the best way to run a tournament.
I haven't watched the games yet but I'm glad everything went so well, can't wait to view the vods!
While I agree with and share your enthusiasm, I feel that you should add that this is just your opinion. Otherwise it will look as though you are unable to criticize things which you find enjoyment with!

May I ask something, a friend sent me a link to IdrA's stream, and he was streaming a game against Cruncher, and I think it was live. But I was watching FD vs Thorzain at the same time, does that means not all the games are gonna be casted? Or it was some other BO3 they were playing, not related to TSL?

They don't play all bo3s at the same time. Today was just the first 4 pairs out of 16. Idra plays some other day. And I do believe they cast replays, so even if you're watching a game between idra and whoever he might stream at the same time.
