I basically have the same problem like you. Im playing SC2 since Augsut 2010, and Im very lonely with it in my buddy''hood''. Well lately I got one of them to watch casts togetehr with me, but he doesnt play it. And I also had the problem with the ego, and with the whole ''Oh, somebody observes my play - fuck, Im gonna screw it up''. I'm a platinum level player that jumps races all the time, I can't just play one, but I'm decent at all three, just depends what I feel like playing at the time. Which does mean I could play any race if someone wanted to practice against a specific thing. Zestull.301 | ||

I haven't played a lot of ladder as I'm scared to lose and I don't play a lot over all, but it's mostly because I don't have anyone to chat with or play with so there is no real edge for me, but someone to play with would make it a lot more fun. But hey, if you (or anyone else reading this) want to hang out and chat on weekday nights (probably around 8 to midnight Pacific Time, Monday through Thursday), feel free to add me! I'm ftl.796 (on the NA servers). I'll go through and add the people who post on these threads, too. Hanging out in the Buddiship and Day9 Channels and checking the "looking for starcraft 2 buddies thread" has been pretty nice for finding people for 1v1s and for monobattles and some casual games, but I agree that it would be very cool to set up some sort of regular group of people. Maybe a regular team for some 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4 so we can actually develop team strategies rather than random, or a regular group to be able to check out progress over the course of weeks or months. | ||

When I first made this thread, I never expected to see so many responses from every one of you. I do not know what to say. I've been trying my best to get in touch with those on NA server tonight and admittedly, I am somewhat overwhelmed, but also happy to see people who enjoy SC2 to get together. Thinking of that - we all here love the same game, yet, all we've seen so far was competition, and sometimes even unhealthy rivalry between all of us, when facing each other on the ladder. Day[9] got us all to get together... it's actually beautiful thing he managed to do. But please be patient with me. I've always been insecure, shy person in real-life. All these responses, they are overwheling. But, I'll do my best to get to know you. After all, we share this nice interest. StarCraft 2. I'll be getting in touch with people on EU as well, so those who sent me private messages, you are not forgotten or neglected. I've also made a channel on NA b.net - BT's Friends - feel free to join up and message me here...I've felt really rude with being slow to respond to people who contacted me. As I said, I never expected this to become so huge. I truly wish people to have fun together while playing & practicing in our beloved SC2..without bashing each other about leagues, balance etc... Once again.. I am humbled to see people coming together to have fun, perhaps even with me, if that is what they'd enjoy. Sincerely, BabyToss | ||

Andybear : 865 I love playing 2v2 and really want to get better in 1v1. I'll play with any skill level, its all for fun .I too watched the Day9 daily (just tonight!) and I only have 1 friend whos into starcraft and I totally agree friends get you into the game. When my friend and I play, its a blast, but when I play alone, it can be a bit boring, so reaching out for more friends seems like a logical idea! b(^_-)z | ||

Besides, Im always happy to have new friends its what I do. Ill send you a message in game eventually. NA server DocM 811 Also, I agree Day9 is awesome. He is fantastic in that he doesnt treat it like a game anymore, he knows its more than that. When you look at it one dimensionally there is a barrier between yourself and everyone else out there who is lonely, and Day9 knows how to see in at least 10 of the dimensions. | ||
