I am getting so close to moving to diamond i can taste it. It can't be more than a few games away can it? I'm number one in my division and I have won 5 out of my last 6 games and they were all vs. people that were top of there diamond division.

I also recently saw great improvement in my late pvz. I usually just cannot deal with the broodlords but I'm getting it now. I beat a diamond zerg who was number one in his division and according to bnet on his way to masters i assume because he had the little green up arrow next to his name.

I also need to think about getting practice partners for all the different match ups. maybe not PvP as i think I'm pretty solid in that match up. Defending the four gate is simply if you have good force fields then it is an easy win from there. I suppose I'll head down to the practice partner thread and see if i can pick out a few diamond zergs and terrans.

getting a good practice partner is the best way to learn right? Aside from getting a coach which i might do later on, when i go as far as i can with practice partners. It feels like i am flying through platinum.

Any input on how to find a GOOD practice partner and anything else i can do to learn faster?

Edit: Yes! made it to diamond now from rank 8 to 1 then to masters maybe yea?

From personal experience, having practice partners is an amazing way to improve your game. Not only do you have someone to discuss strategies with/play against, you also get a different perspective on the matchup from their point of view; that in itself can be vital in correcting any errors in your play.

As for finding a practice partner, just be friendly while laddering. I've found quite a few people on ladder myself who I practice with fairly often, which has definitely made me a better player. Good luck.

to find a good practice partner, message the next guy that just wipes the floor with you. Not a "ahhh I really fucked that one" game, a "holy shit am I playing some kind of god?" game. Ask him if it's cool to add and ask to play again later. Most people will say sure.

The TL practice partner thread is also pretty good, just add a random name, ask him if he's free to play a game and have some fun!

Several people have asked me if they can add me after a game and I always say yes. Then when they've messaged me for games later, I sometimes say yes. If we had really good games I would message that person asking for games. And that's how a practice partnership is formed.
