PSN Pre-paid Cards

I bought myself a $20 US PSN card to use on my US account so I can buy NFL Head Coach 09. However, I've been plagued with an error for the past 8 hours, where the funds won't be added to my 'wallet'.

After Googling, I wasn't given much informative information, so I'm just wondering to PS3 owners who have used PSN cards before, is this just a common problem? I suppose I will try again when I wake up tomorrow, but, seriously, fuck PSN.

What's the error mate, i've never used one but I sometimes get people coming back saying the code doesn't work or whatever reason. We normally have to direct them to Sony as it's their code and their the only ones who can give you another or credit the account with that money.

You have a US account for sure? maybe US cards dont work on AU ps3 because they have different firmware and different regions.

Why would you want NFL Head Coach when you could have Football Manager :O?

Yeah I had a brutal time with PSN and my CC, eventually having to get a friend in Canada to order a card and send me the code

yes, i made another account (us) so i can buy games from the us psn (cheaper than aus)

Is this the first time you've used pre-paid, or even any activity on your US PSN account? Also, is it a master account or a sub-account?

My best guess is that Sony detect your Aus IP and blocked it from adding fund to a US account. Try to fake your IP to an US IP and try again.

where did you buy the card? Is it possible that the place you got it from is not legit? This should work fine right away, I haven't heard of any IP blocks unless you are using CFW.
