Today was a decent day overall, but god damn did it start off horribly. First, I couldn't get to sleep last night so I ended up staying up all night and ended up sleeping from 7 am to 8:30 am until I had to get up to go to class. Luckily, the GSL Code A finals and TL kept me entertained all night.
I get up and head out to go to class. I drive like a normal person in the left lane on the highway to school and all is well, until an asshole driver comes out of nowhere. We all know who they are. They are the ones that drive these luxurious cars and think they're too good to follow the basic rules of the road (Not all of them! Just some  !). Like I said before, I'm in the left lane just cruising at 60-62 mph. The idiot is in the middle lane. We're pretty much side by side except he's ~2 feet ahead of me, so there's no way I'm in his blind spot. Even if I was in his blind spot, I'm pretty damn sure I was in his peripheral vision. Either way, what I'm trying to say is he could fucking see me.
After driving about 30 seconds next to this guy something starts to go wrong. I see him slowly turn his car into me. At first, I thought, "Maybe this guy is just not paying too much attention. I should accelerate and GTFO of here," but he ends up accelerating with me. He's no doubt trying to overtake me and he has a faster car. He's driving a modded (at least cosmetically) Mercedes C63 and all I have is the 215 HP of a BMW 325xi. I realize that he wants to get into the left lane and I let off the gas. I don't want to cause shit this early in my morning commute with an asshole, but instead of overtaking me, he stops accelerating as I do and starts turning into me even more.
At this point, I'm furious and I just start beeping the horn hoping he was just being oblivious to his surroundings and would stop turning into me.. He could have either A) Accelerated and gone past me in 2 seconds or B) Chilled the fuck out and gotten behind me, but no, he just decides to turn into me like an asshole. To avoid a damn collision, I'm now with half of my car into the god damn left shoulder while he's with half his car into the left lane whilst turning into me still. At this point, I'm like, "wtf " and realize he's either fucking deaf since I've been beeping for the past 5 seconds or he's doing this shit on purpose. I finally hit the brakes (probably should have done this sooner, but I was trying to have some hope that he wasn't an asshole), and get back into the damn lane behind him.
Immediately after he gets into the damn left lane, he signals and goes right back in the middle lane! This is where he really pissed me off. If there were any god damn red lights on the highway, I would have followed him until he got to one and punched him in the face. What made all of this worse is that while I'm passing him in the left lane, I see him with his damn chin up and with a smug look on his face like he just accomplished his damn mission in life. I really, really, really wanted to just punch that asshole right in the throat.
And although no one did anything good for me, I did something cool for someone I guess. I was shopping for some stuff after I got out of school and saw another C63 (awesome car!). While I was checking out the aftermarket wheels, I saw a bulge in the car's tire. I don't know how an owner missed this, but you really don't want to drive with a bulge on the tire. Blowouts aren't fun, especially on a $60k+ car. I left a note for that person and hopefully that person heeds my warning. It made me feel like I did something good and I hope that person appreciates it. I also had an old man watching me the entire time I wrote the note and put it on the windshield. $20 says he got out of his car and went to read the note.

Good job man (: Keep your chin up and keep doing nice things despite the assholes out there. If I had a clean record though (or at least relatively clean atm) I would have let him hit me and have him pay me for damages, claim soft tissue damage (almost impossible to prove), have him pay for that, then have him repair his own damn car for being such a retard. I'm kind of a dick though so that might be just me.

When that happens to me, I either: follow them and blast my horn - The whole way, who cares where I was going beforehand. OR Drive by him with a smile on my face, thanking him, he'll get so confused he'll crash into a pole and die immediately. Hope that helps. :D

Yea sometimes dick drivers are like that. But worse than drivers like that are those who TALK ON THE PHONE WHILE HOLDING THEIR PHONE WITH ONE HAND or THOSE WITH HEADPHONES IN THEIR EARS.
These people honestly are terrible and are literally not even aware of the space around them.

I swear driving is a better demonstration of a persons IQ than any standardised test.
In the UK the limit is 70mph ( most people drive 80-85 ).
Anything other than offpeak hours it makes me rage so hard at the retardation I constantly see around me.

The only problem with that is that here in the wonderful state of NJ, accidents like that are hit and and miss in terms of being the winner. Honestly, it crossed my to let him hit me, but it's up to the cop/trooper to decide who is at fault and they would most likely go for the younger guy (me) or just make it 50/50. Insurance is already a pain  .

Talking on the phone? How about texting? A neighbor of mine before I moved always texted while she drove. She ended up going right through the stop sign at our street because she wasn't paying attention. She got lucky and the car that could have hit her was being careful and stopped just in time. That still didn't teach her not to text. She still did it after that accident.

Tell me about it. Some people are just not fit to drive, at all. Luckily, I haven't had many crappy experiences like this. I think the one that beats both of these though is when I was in the middle lane and two cars tried merging into my lane at the same time from the left and from the right. They were making a "me sandwich." That one got the heart pumping to be honest. I never drive in the middle lane anymore.

Out of curiosity if you're on the freeway, why you driving only 60mph in the left lane? I hate people like you :o. But sounds like you encountered quite the retard, I've never had someone not hear my horn when I honk if they do that to me (not that it's happened much anyways).

Yah . Speed limit is 55 and there was actually moderate traffic. State troopers were all over the highway and have been for the past week, so everyone's been taking it easy on that road. Otherwise, everyone (myself included) drives 65.

The other day I'm pulling off the freeway, with my usual style. I pull into a sick drift and cut the wheel hard, taking the off-ramp at a perfect trajectory, but as I whip through the arc nearly sideways, I see this asshole in a camry going like 35 MPH. ON THE OFF RAMP. So I steady my ride and pull her out of the drift like a seasoned pro, and I pull up along side him. It was only a one lane exit ramp so he nearly shit his pants. Then I gun it and pull out in front of him, rip the hand-brake and pull a clean 180º spin and start flying down the off-ramp backwards, never losing eye-contact with the camry driving yuppie. Finally we hit the end of the exit and I point to him and let him know I've got my eyes on him before pulling another flawless 180º spin and peeling out into traffic, leaving that joker in a cloud of smoke.

You sound a lot like me on the road. I'm an incredibly calm person in most other aspects of life, but on the road people piss me off. I pretty much wish the worst upon people who don't signal, go out of their way not to let you into their lane, drive 10mph on a street where they can't be passed, don't signal before they turn, pull into the intersection even though there are pedestrians crossing the street, people who get angry at pedestrians crossing the street, etc.

Yeah in New Jersey (not specifically referring to accidents here), the cops are especially nosy and always wait at the worst possible places to spring out and catch people. Therefore, you can never go too fast on the freeway or highway since the chances that you will get caught are so much higher. They especially like to wait at speedtraps where the speed limit drops for a short amount of time but many drivers are unaware of the change so they can levy big fines.

I live in Jersey too. In my experience they are pretty smart about it. It's easy to tell who was ahead and who moved where simply by damage marks. I had a similar experience once.

How was that my problem? =/ I was actually behind another car the entire time. I wasn't pacing a group of cars. Like I mentioned in a previous post, everyone was going 60-62 that day. The speed limit is 55 and state troopers were everywhere. I saw 3 of them just waiting to catch people in a 3 mile stretch. They've been going overboard with tickets lately. Usually, I see 1-2 people get pulled over a day, but since March started, it's been more like 6-7 people per day I see getting pulled over on my way to and from school.
Either way, my speed had nothing to do with what the guy did. O_o He was in the middle lane the entire time and just decided to go into my lane for no reason. And I said, "Not all of them! Just some!" in my post. I don't consider everyone that drives an expensive car an ass, but most of them truly are.
@Young - Bergen county. The one that was being an ass was on Rt-17 in Paramus. The other one was at the Paramus Park mall.

People in front or not, left is passing only. Given that the state is pinching pennies left and right (im nj too).
Trust me, I tested this theory as a smug 18 year old when a trooper kept on putting a light in my mirror when I was doing speed limit in the fast lane and not moving because I figured there's no way he can pull me over. Sure enough, it's illegal and they will ticket you!
dunno if he did that because you were in the fast lane when you shouldn't have been, but i'm just assuming since I know i'm hugely irrational prick when someone obstructs me from moving forward like that!

Yeah, left is passing only, but when you're in a crowded highway that usually backs up and has you going 45 mph in a 55 because of traffic, all 3 lanes are usually full no matter what. If your at all familiar with Rt-17 in Paramus, you would know that all 3 lanes are used for just trying to get through. The left lane is hardly ever considered a passing lane in those traffic conditions. I just got lucky this morning and managed to drive a stretch of the road at 60'ish behind a couple of other cars. Usually, we're all going 45-50 because of the traffic.
I'm not trying to disagree with you or anything. I hate those people that block others in the left lane. I can assure you I'm not one of them . I used to do it when I was 18 too, because I didn't know any better, but now I do know better. Thinking back to it, I was actually a major douche bag. I remember once going 55 in the left lane and having all these cars behind me flashing their lights and me being "fuck off" and driving slowly. I really wish I knew how much of a douche I was being then. Haha. Oh well. I can't do anything about the past now.
