I gave away my DS to my cousin half a year ago. Of course I knew Black and White would be coming out about now so I just figured I'd just get another DS, but apparently I enjoy eating out too much to have any money saved for a DS to buy Pokemon Black and White.
So I downloaded the patched ROM and an emulator and started playing it for a bit, and then I remember how *magical* Pokemon is when you play it on a DS -- every time a new game comes out and you play it, it's like you're going on a brand new adventure. So now I'm at a dilemma where I can either wait a month or two, buy a 3DS, and play it then (and catch up on the DS games I've missed out on!), or play it on an emulator now and take away that magical experience.
I bet it'll feel like the time where I read that entire Harry Potter 7 on those photographed pages when it first came out so I could avoid spoilers.
So TL, what should I do? Of course, mind you, it is also finals week next week so technically I should be studying (but I only have one easy final so whatever)

I heard black and white are getting special perks (graphic wise) on the 3ds, could be wrong though. If I were you I would just wait. But, I would rather watch you play and stream it

I picked up my copy of white today for my dsi, I'm definitely getting that magic feeling while playing it. This gen is pretty far up there on my ranking list, really like how the game is playing out (no reused pokemon till the end, which makes everything fresh; no endless zubats/geodudes). I'll see how I feel about it once I finish it all.
But I don't know if I could wait, especially with the 3DS coming out. IMO just play the emulator version, pick of a 3DS and play the new pokemon games that come out for that.

Wait it out, I've heard some great stuff about it as opposed to D/P/Pt, but it'll be even better in a week when you'll be able to devote several days of staying up past midnight to becoming the ultimate Pokemon master!

Get your ds fast so you can con underage kids into trading your their rare pokemons.
That's how you become a master, swindle kids, not any of those preconceived notions about winning battles or the like.

Just to let you know, since I don't know how long it's been since you've played a Pokemon rom on an emulator, but anti-piracy has become increasingly popular on the more high-end DS roms. It is under my assumption that Black and White both have this anti-piracy built in. Another popular one that I know of is Bowser's Inside Story, where many people can't get past a certain part because of this piracy protection.
EDIT: Never mind, after doing a bit more research, I did find one that appears to support it pretty well, albeit with freezing every once in a while.
