All the qualifing TLOs are over and we can now see who made it and who didn't, there's of course one more place left for Strelok and Select to fight for.
Even though this was probably the best way how to determine the 16 players -given that there's no official SC2 ranking and that it would be unfair to force NA players to mass ladder on EU and vice versa- I feel like there was lot of luck involved and some players just didn't take it seriously enough (not playing all the tournaments). That means plenty of players I would love to see competing in TSL didn't make it, I will write about few of them.
1) Kiwikaki - I'm pretty sure EVERYONE wanted him to qualify. He's very strong yet one of the most entertaining players out there. His mothership play against zergs warms every protoss' heart.
2) Demuslim - easily one of the best foreign terrans, great personality, always enjoying his casting, what a pity he got injured
3) Mana - great ex-bw player, love his PvT style and trying to play like him in this MU. I just hope he doesn't change it because of the HT nerf!
4) Socke - not really a big fan of him, but I'd say with White-Ra and Mana he's top3 protoss in Europe and thus deserved to be in TSL. Also, how many teachers playing SC2 on such a high level do you know?
5) Beastyqt - up and coming player, whenever I open craft cup brackets, he's there tearing it up. Very solid with a great potential.
6) Catz - not the best player, but can you not love him? Proving wrong everyone who's saying that Z can't be fun.
7) Sjow - he never ceases to amaze me how is it possible to be among the best foreign terrans with no scouting and very low apm
8) Brat_ok - not really out there yet..mainly because his builds are just terrible. However, I believe he will soon get back into his BW beastly mode.
So yeah, that's just few players from top of my head. Who would you want to see there?
With all that being said, I believe TSL will be the best online tournament EVER and I can't see anything that could surpass it soon. I'd also say there's gonna be more viewers than in any foreign event, including NASL, MLG, IEM... I mean look at the korean invites! We will finally get proper confrontation between korean and foreign players, the one we all have been waiting for.

I think we have one of the best lineups we could hope for with only 16 spots available.
Would have liked to see SjoW play but other then that I do not really care for all the different foreigner players, there are so many of them and it's very hard to keep track of them all

JF didn't make it
TSL 3 will feel empty without JF. I wish they would have done a similar thing for the 4th place as they did in TSL 2.

kiwikaki and mana are my only QQ's about this tournament, i wanted kiwi especially to make it demuslim sadly broke his hand so i wouldnt expect good games out of him until its healed (at that level at least) however im quite content about who is in, i just wish kiwi was playing strelok instead of select

i d certainyl add Machine and Darkforce as some of the most solid zerg out there ;(

Didn't catch Brat_Ok's TvZ builds but apparently it was 2 rax expo into 2 port banshee?
Can someone elaborate as to why the build failed as miserably as it did to make everyone comment on it?

oookay, I recall Hot_Bid mentioning something like that. Then somebody responded with "Is this supposed to be an offence to Draco" or something.
Seems like my memory is not as good as I thought it was

JF won me over with his shuttle + reaver play vs whitera I believe on outsider. Hot damn.

LOTS of really good players missing
I don't like the korean invite system. It ended up being invite TL + 2-3 top koreans.
TSL has always been about the foreigners

A shame about MarineKing too :| Poor guy gets 2nd in two GSLs and can't show his stuff here.
I think Zeerax/Ciara/Thorzain/Cruncher have the most to prove, as they took spots from players with more tournament results.

To be perfectly frank it's due to the easier mechanics. The top foreigners today who played BW could only take a game off progamers like Tester, Nada, even Iron (MC) rarely, and it was a celebrated occasion; MVP probably once in a lifetime, and he was only a middling A-teamer, now arguably SC2's best. They just put in the hours to become so mechanically far ahead because the skill ceiling for it was so much higher. This isn't a BW-vs-SC2 argument, it's just true.
Not to mention the vast majority of the talent is still in BW.

I was overall pretty okay with how the points and qualifications turned out. I really hope Select makes it in, very sad that more up and coming zergs didnt make it in(Nerchio, Syz, Deathangel) but hey this whole thing has been epic and the qualifiers are good.
It's disappointing also that Sjow didn't make it in but the last few games I've seen of him have been kinda crummy. It looks like he's slumping or something.
