Hello, sweet nerdlings.
Yeah, I haven't written in a while, soz. The myriad of fucking natural disasters in Australia pushed me into severe amounts of overtime with not as much time for SC2 as I'd like. I've also been going to the beach a lot, and drinking with friends a lot.
Ah, summer. Beautiful. I'm more bronzed than usual, my little Team Liquidites!
However, I have to say, last night, I was promoted to SILVER! WOO!
This was on my NA account, which I usually use for fucking around.
Which is kind of ironic.
Over 200~ games played on SEA, Rank 6 Bronze.
60~ games played on NA, Rank 26 Silver.
GO FIGURE!
(Ugh, I just checked my profile, it's now 68 Silver...that's what I get for only playing one more game after being promoted!)
Anyway, the game from which I was promoted was a pretty hilarious game.

It was a PvP, I played like shit, but I still won.
I played like shit because it was my first game after 5-6 days, so a bit rusty. And by a bit, I mean a lot.
I also wasn't sure what my plan was until I saw his wicked 5-gate. So I rushed to DTs.
Apparently me beating him with DTs when he 5-gated makes me an 'idiot'.
It sucks, because I really like the name magictuna.
He, of course, blocked me after BMing me.
Which is a shame.
I wanted to tell him he wasn't only beaten by an idiot, but an idiot girl who hadn't played in 5 days.

So, hey, if you guys think I sound like a bit of fun, want a noob to take care of or someone to fuck around with in game, hit me up on Battle.net! All my rl friends, as much as they love games, for some reason aren't into SC2. So it's kinda lonely.
On NA, I'm Sunset.246. I hang out in the teamliquid and screddit chat channels. I'm often on at obscure times and usually I'm drinking gin.

There is a larger variance on NA because of the larger player base so the worst players are worse and the best players are better. Since there are a lot of bad players and relatively few good, this pushes you upward!

@samuraibael Haha, yeah, I figured that. I've found people on NA to be generally better mannered as well. I've also had trouble finding consistency on my SEA account - big win streaks then big losing streaks for no apparent reason. Plus, I'll generally lose to 2-3 evenly-matched players, then beat a few gold players, then start losing again, lol. My hidden ranking is probably very confusing to Battle.net :p

I played against a player called Magictuna on Saturday 5th Feb in a ZvR (he rolled Z) and by the sounds of it was the same player you faced since when I beat him he bad mannered me in similar fashion declaring that I was "really bad" and that "overall I was really stupid".
This was my 1st ever 1v1 game on ladder so I was a bit taken aback to get abuse 1st time out. Would you say that BM is a common occurrence on the NA server? I'm a little put off by this since I always try to be good mannered in all games. I also initially believed the comments until I looked at the replay, saw I had a 30 food differential in my favour, had 4 hatches to his 2 hatch (3rd just finished), had 2 + 2 upgrades on my units compared to his 0 + 0, had banked 50 larvae and over 2000 minerals and was maxed just before the last battle. I got to that position by massing lings and banes in the early game and just kept denying his natural expansion until mine was up and running.
And congrats to you on making Silver.

I actually think the level of BM from SEA and NA is about the same, most times players are nice and won't BM but you will run into players like MagicTuna are exceptions.
Also congrats on the promotion :D hope mine comes soon, sitting in Silver but facing only Masters/Diamond players  on a 12 win streak at the moment.
