Have you watched Day 9's episode 100 video?

Sort of reminds me of it, where he was a total nub and learns lessons during his BW career. Like playing against map-hackers taught him that being cheesy is not the only way to play and the only way to beat them was to out macro them and that was his motivation..

As someone who didn't get into the proscene of BW until after the release of the SC2 beta, I am in a similar situation as far as feeling late to the game. I wish I was around to see Savior fall to Bisu, must've been awesome =\

I dunno, it depends on their play style. I can respect macrotosses, but not DT/Carrier tosses -_-;
There's still a couple of those. Then again, for every guy you see macroing there is a guy 10/15 gating or DTing you >.<

This is an excellent mentality to play on ICCup, and one that is most required if you wish to really have fun while ~~playing~~ losing.
If you don't embrace losing with both of your hands, you'll find laddering really unsatisfying. But if you accept the mentality of losing and work diligently in becoming better, your every win will feel like winning an OSL!

I felt nothing when I got to D+, insanely easy...
But I know some have better sense of the game than others, so it's nothing.

Very nice blog post. I remember when I did this long long ago. Very proud achievement, until you realize that there are a zillion koreans better than you. Oh well.
