One of the Internet Cafes nearby decided to hold a LAN tourney for SC2 players. Since I'm not that avid of a fan for SC2, I was like "Meh" the entire time. Fortunately for me, they decided to organize an 8 man tourney for BW players.
Let's skip the 1 month training session, shall we?
Assume I trained extremely hard and I did not play CoD instead of practicing 
Okay, anyway. So the tourney started at around 3:00 pm GMT + 8.
First match was vs a Zerg. [I play Protoss btw]
Before the match I was thinking "FUCCCK I SUCK PVZ"
Since there was no way out of the match, I just manned up and went like "LETS DO THIS".
Sooo I basically opened Forge FE Bisu-Style, nothing unusual. The zerg opened 12 hatch but it took him some time before he could setup at his nat because I sent a probe to go annoy him and prevent him from building a hatch.
I transitioned into Sairs and basically scout/harassed.
I noticed that he wasn't building scourges, only to find out that he went hydras on me.
Instead of transitioning to DT + storms, I decided to play Sair-reaver despite the fact that I have NEVER used that in my entire life.
So I made up the BO as I went along and had about 6 Sairs + 1 Shuttle with 2 reavers. I went out to check on his third, which I managed to take out without much difficulty.
After I took out his third, he proceeded to block any harass in his expo/main by using hydras.
I thought to myself "damn this is great. He won't be able to push if I keep at this"
So I macro up and get around 12 Sairs + 2 Shuttles with 4 reavers in them. Plus 8 Speedzeals. Yeah I have no idea what I'm doing.lol
Soooo yeah I basically set out for another harass.
AAAND I take out his third AGAIN. I check for other bases, and see a fourth going up, which I managed to take out again with no difficulty.
All of the sudden I think he tells himself "FUCK IMMA ALL IN LIKE SHINE DID VS BISU"
So he does a hydra bust hoping to take me out. I didn't see the hydras en-route to my base so I continue harassing.
When I finally notice the hydras, I stall them long enough with cannons + zeals + storm until I managed to bring back my sairs+reaver back home.
Then weird shit happens.
I drop my reavers, cast D-web on hydras then in about 10 secs all the hyras were out. I was like "WTF I didn't know Sair-reaver was THAT COOL"
Sooo yeah. He GGs after losing his entire hydra army to Sair+reaver.
First match: Win
My next match is tomorrow, so I'm hoping for the best :D
Feb 01, 2011 Update:
I just finished my 2nd match.
PvT on Destination: Spawned Top, while he spawned bot
Summary:
Pretty standard game where an early eco advantage gives me the win. 
I open 12 Nex while he opens Siege expand, much to my advantage.
Nothing really special early game other than I got to pressure his choke for a while until I got reavers.
About mid-game, I reaver dropped into his main taking out the lone turret guarding him. I guess he was expecting a DT drop :|
So I manage to score a few SCV kills until his tanks arrive to protect it. I have no idea why his turrets were delayed though, I could've sworn it was dead obvious I was going for a reaver drop :o
I macro up until I'm running off of 4 bases + idk how many gateways + 2 Forges pumping upgrades + arbiters (with stasis and energy)
So I kept taking out his 3rd and 4th expansions until he rolled over with a 200/200 army vs my 200/200 army. In one decisive clash, I took victory. Yay! :D
Before he set up his siege, I manage to move out with speedzeals + goons
Desperately trying to capitalize on what little position he had. I immediately stasis the SVs, but he manages to score an EMP or two. I then fly over back up arbiters to stasis his pesky little vults and I managed to mine drag enough to take out 1/3 of his tanks. I proceeded to Storm his clumped tanks while pushing out with reinforcing speedzeals.
At this point, I knew I had the advantage. I marched on over to his main to take out the facts before he manages to pull out tanks.
He does a good job blocking his choke, thankfully a spare HT was ready with 2 Storms. I storm the choke, take out the units blocking and fight my way inside and into victory.
I breathed a sigh of relief. I go over to the counter and grab a Gatorade and relish my victory. Small victory, but important nonetheless

I did not expect to win that one for sure. I totally made up my BO for sair+reaver and just did what I saw on Vods. I haven't actually tried sair+reaver before, so it was surprising that it worked the first time around. Beginner's luck maybe?

I'll be honest. I wasn't sure if I was even going to pull it off. From the very start I was playing with a losing mindset. I basically made up what came along. Idk though VODs of Nal_rA and Stork kept popping up while playing. I guess that helped me patch up the BO together.
I might consider it, but I'm still more confident in the usual Forge+FE Sair --> Storm or Bisu build.
My multi-tasking probably sucked, but I guess I got lucky based on how the game played out for me

Well, I honestly have no idea how good the competition is. I randomly entered the competition knowing nothing of how good the competitors are. I just want to have fun that's all

The game was played on python. Overused map, lol.
I don't play iccup. I don't think I'm ready for the level of competition yet. I played 2 games from a friend's account. I won both games though, but it was on D rank so it probably won't matter. :S
Oh and yeah Sair + reaver is extremely sexy, but I admit I'm way too chicken to try it out in matches. I think the nervousness got the better of me and made me lose all my logical thinking hence I got the guts to actually try it this time

training for matches is probably really fun. Cant think of why you would for any reason have the urge to play CoD.

Well, I play with a bunch of friends. We even organized some kind of rag-tag gaming crew that specializes in Starcraft, CoD, and DoTA.
I practice with them most of the time. Our practice sessions (usually 8-10 hour gaming sessions during the weekends) involve all the games mentioned above, so I can't force them to play SC with me for the entire gaming session. They only play with me when they feel like it, so most of the time we're stuck playing CoD or DoTA.
Let's just say I don't have much practice partners :D

After SC I cant stand playing most games and CoD is one of them (I think its the 3 bullets=death part). Here at my college no one wants to play any games other then CoD or maybe Halo so I'm always stuck in my room playing with people I don't know.

Well, I love FPSes too. Yes the 3 bullets death part can be quite frustrating, but it adds to the whole thrill of the game imo.
I play from my university's dormitory, so internet is firewalled. I can't go on iccup/garena so I'm stuck with my friends as practice partners lol

I won a g13 (one of those half keyboard things where all the keys are programmable) at a lan event organized by a church nearby about a year ago lol. I wasn't even d+, but none of the other people had ever heard of iccup. No shame in pwning nublets lol
