Got home from school at like 1:30. Had a small breakfast and had worked out for 45 minutes at school. Came home and ate:
1 package Ramen (500 cal.) 4 oreos (200 cal.) 1 slice of whole grain toast + refried beans (I dunno prob 300ish cal.) 1 fairly large Blueberry Muffin (300ish cal probs) All within like 20 minutes.
Guys it hurts

That's not a lot of food, that's a lot bread which fills you up pretty fast. Try eating the same amount in fruits and veggies and you'll soon find that there's a huge difference in feeling.

Lotta food for a snack for sure, but enough to make you hurt? That's surprising especially since alot of those foods are calorically dense and not the most filling of foods.

nope, pretty much everyone who says they eat a lot and are skinny .. don't actually eat a lot! trust me if you're snacking on 1300kcal, and your regular meals are more than that, let's say 1500kcal (after all, not a snack, right?), and you eat a bunch of those a day, no, you're not eating 5k+ calories per day and staying thin while sitting on a computer.

Also there is quite the margin between people. There was a documentuary where they got 25 people that were very thing and put them at 750 calories a day over what a normal person needs for 6 months, a surprising ammount of them hadn't gained a single pound after the time was up. Yes most thin people don't eat alot but some of them eat like horses and can't seem to gain weight.

Except that's not me at all. I was 210 lbs at 14, at about 5 foot 3. So yeah I was pretty stereotypical computer kid who gets really fat. Anyway I'm 5'9 170 now so obviously much improved.
I dunno what happened today lol. Just got really hungry. Ravenous. Probably won't end up eating anything for dinner. See how I feel. :p

Just don't make a habit out of it. Used to be quite porky myself put on a ton of weight when I stopped growing. But then again I'm 2 meters tall when you grow that much you need a ton of energy.

Weight gain or loss boils down to one thing. Calories in vs Calories out. Every 3,500 Calories more you eat than you burn you gain one pound.
People with fast metabolisms might burn 500 more Calories a day than a typical person, maybe in some extreme cases 1k more, but I'd be somewhat skeptical of such a claim. Additionally people that have high metabolisms often results in part from things like muscle mass, activity patterns, eating habits, etc.
In any event even if someone had a metabolism in which they burned 1,000 more Calories per day than the average person they would need somewhere between 3,000 and 3,500 Calories per day. If they are snacking once or twice a day at 1K Calories per day plus normal meals, they will gain weight.

People like to focus on good metabolism all the time there are those with really bad metabolism that can't gain weight because their bodies simple can't take up the energy from the food and it comes out the other end unprocessed, I would think those are more common amongst those that are really thin and just seems to not be able to put on weight.
