I recently read Raeleigh's blog. I'd like to share my own story. It will come in two parts. Here is part 1!!!
If you guys haven't read my blog on Korean night life then you might not be able to put this summary of last night in perspective but here we go (http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?id=121666 if you want to read).
I'm a Korean American living in Seoul who's job is to make friends with and take around high rollers and keep them happy so that they continue to come to the casino that I'm employed at and lose money. Hopefully this story helps you learn how to deal with the ladies.
So I have this client that is such a high roller that he demands I come to the casino with him and then he gives me money to bet with. Normally in Korea this is a big no-no for a chauffeur of the night such as myself, but this guy just simply wants to see the joy in others so he gives me money to bet with along side him on any given night. When I win he lets me keep half (of course he is well aware that he has to do this in secret because I would get fired), and when I lose he takes the whole loss.
I was with my girlfriend that I love very much tonight and though I'd have a simple night and relax at home when he suddenly calls me up at 9 PM demanding that I come to Non-hyun-dong immediately because he's with two girls and he needs backup.
I tell my girlfriend I have to go meet a client (she understands) and I get ready and head out. I show up and the three of them are having good fun. It takes me literally less than 30 seconds to realize that these girls are no normal girls. Not only do they speak with Pusan dialect, but they both have had noticable surgery on their faces. I wasn't sure about the eyes but definitely both had nose jobs and the single girl who was demanding that my client call him a guy had a boob job too.
Not only that, but I could also tell by their demeanors that they were no normal girls. While they did speak in Jon-de-mal (the korean honorific respectful form), the subjects they were willing to discuss at confidence such as 'what kind of guys are playboys,' or 'yeah you can get this pill injected in your arm so that guys can cum inside with no risk of pregnancy,' or 'actually I think size DOES matter,' led me to believe they were certainly working girls.
Conversation went on and on. For a while I couldn't tell whether or not my girl had any interest. I mean an average guy would have thought the girl next to me was in love, but I know better than to assume such things with working girls in Korea. It's their livelyhood to cater to men that they have no interest of hooking up with and making them feel good about themselves.
I was quite tired too so my game wasn't really up to par, plus theres always the lingering fact that my girlfriend is waiting at home. I was merely there to keep the friend distracted long enough so that my client could get laid.
Finally after many rounds of drinks they went to the bathroom together. I asked my client "These are working girls right?" He looked at me like I was a fucking idiot and said "OH REALLY HOW'D YOU GUESS?" (obviously in Korean but my translations are 100% accurate). I cowered a bit and smiled as his face jeered with love and contempt simultaneously. I then asked "well what kind of place do they work at? A high class place or a place where they work as prostitutes?" He then looked at me like a dad would look at his son upon learning he just failed out of his scholarship; "you think I'm the kind that would meet girls that work as hookers other than their place of business or a motel? I COULD BE SEEN!" I cowered once again thinking "FUCK" then he smiled and said "of course you know better than that! these girls are not for sale anywhere and I'm not giving mine a dime and you're going to make sure I don't get cock-blocked tonight."
"I will make sure of it sir." he once again smiled at me with pure love and joy as the girls came back to the table from the bathroom. Over the course of the next hour my client, I, and his girl drank a lot. His girl kept saying how the girl next to me (lets call her Sarah) gets super crazy when she gets drunk. But despite seeming charmed by me and my stupid jokes, Sarah was not drinking much at all. My client was monstering his girl to a magnitude not often seen. This man knows how these girls think and act and it didn't matter what they said, he had the perfect response. Moments like that make me truly appreciate rich businessmen who seem apparently retarded and willing to lose money at the casino; the only reason he can do so is because he is so good at real life and business that can afford it. And he knows it.
He eventually asks his girl if she wants to drink more somewhere else (mistake:he should have been a leader) or what and she says "oh well I'm up for anything I guess!"
Note these girls think that I think they are normal girls not working girls. I know better than to ask a working woman outside of her place of work if she is a working girl even though I know. My client and they didnt bring it up once so I assume they didn't want me to know. Sometimes those girls just want to create a moment where they can escape their lives and meet someone fresh with no preconcieved misperceptions. Obviously they know he knows because he met them at a room salon, but they think I don't.
So he pays the bill and we are walking out of the bar and he straight up suggests to my girl that all 4 of us go back to his penthouse and drink there. Sarah instantly gets really weirded out (or atleast acts that way because she doesn't want to look like a slut) and says "Umm I'll pass? And maybe me and her should just go home," while his girl is just standing there not knowing what to do.
He gives me the darkest look basically suggesting 'i spoiled you all this month and you better not FUCK UP.' I realize suddenly my client doesn't know what to do. It occured to me at that very moment "Wow this guy really doesn't know how to handle resistance, he's obviously a man who's never been denied." He was probably so used to hookers and gambling that while he seemed super confident in every way, he had some deep rooted insecurity and was hoping my charms would be enough to get him laid that night for free.
I then did what they pay me the big bucks for at my casino.
"One second let me make a call." I step aside and fake a phone call for 20 seconds. I go up to my client's girl and say "Theres this really cozy place thats the new hip club/lounge thats so popular that you need reservations for two to have their own private area. Even though it's a sunday night it's really packed right now and my VIP host says he'll lock it off for me. I'd like to take Sarah there is that okay?"
Obviously the look in my client's girl's eyes were beaming with "WHAT THE HELL WHY CAN'T I GO?" whilst I could see Sarah's whole posture change in my perhiperhial vision. The aura I carry around with myself would not permit my client's girl to lose face by acting like she wants to go instead. She said "Okay you two go ahead!"
We said our goodbyes and my girl who was still quite sober was frolicking along next to me as I walked to get a cab. She asked "Do you have a car?" to which I replied "probably not as good as yours." (those girls make 15 grand a month). She looked at me like "Oh fuck he knows." I smirked, hailed down the nearing cab, jumped in without saying anything, and she couldn't help but follow.

Mind blown. 6 pages to find out a guy tricked a girl into bar-hopping with him, then smirked instead of taking her, and then went online to post it to TL as if there was a revelation to be had from the experience. Judging from this blog thread and your other blog thread, OP, you are scum. You say you love your girlfriend but you're cheating on her with these "working girls" (you even say so in your other thread), with the excuse that you have to please these Korean businessmen. If this job is so important that you will not give it up because of your girlfriend, at least let her know what you're doing. That would be the least respectful thing you could do. You don't seem to be very reluctant or displeased when having to go with these girls either. You're cheating on your girlfriend without regret. People like you don't deserve having a girlfriend, imo.

Its awesome how the inspiration of a love story by a nice Canadian girl is re-interpreted into a story that is about honour, commitment, confidence and duty to one's job and client in the context of Korea's work environment.
GUYS, you don't get it, its because of his love of his gf, that he has to suffer through this type of work to provide a good quality lifestyle and security to the one he loves. This is a love story of great personal sacrifice, putting aside ethical and moral societal standards to ensure that he continues his work. which is a 24/7 job.
In fact, to really put this into perspective, DanCewithDevil is equivalent to a working girl himself, with only his charm and wit to guide him through serve his uber wealth clients. When you think of it, the girls are being paid and he is being paid to be with the girls and the only one who is really free is the uber rich guy who creates the charade for his own pleasure. It's like some sick porn on live demand!
Keep up the good fight! Don't ever let those working girls get the best of you and keep your love real!

Going to go on my random whiteknighting sprees, but Mr. Zealot has a point. What's being discussed is basically the Maury Povich show for the rich, and it will rightly repulse some.
That doesn't mean its not a damn entertaining blog though. OP is a good writer too, and it shows.

I remember reading your old blog on Korean clubs. I find it nice that people like yourself are able to find a niche in life, yours centered around casinos and rich people.

^^ I was being a bit tongue-in-cheek, but you really can't expect anyone outside of Korea or someone outside your industry to understand, let alone relate; I'm sure when you were young in America you may have had a similar reaction if you heard such things, but i just wanted make the situation a bit lighter.
hehe, I probably know your boss's bosses , so if we do meet, we should meet at a TL meet up outside of the casinos or they will think I'm trying to recruit you to do something, besides at a Korean casino, I know which tables have the wrong card shoe, so I can't lose too much if I play. ^^

DanCeWithDevil, although your job is baller and I do like your blogs in general, I've got to admit the fact that you are forced to cheat on your gf bothers me. Your rationalization is understandable - that if you didn't have one nighters occasionally you'd be out of many grand a month and unable to support yours and your gf's lifestyle. It seems to me you've had to make compromises that can wear down on one's core beliefs. You and everyone here knows that cheating is immoral, that if you were ever outed your girl would be justly hurt. From what you say you love her a tremendous amount, and I don't doubt you. You're in a corner where you can't tell the truth but you also can't stand up for your core beliefs. The way I see it the corner is going to get smaller as months and years go on, and you will have to make a decision to step out. Either choice is fine - you either be completely honest to your girl and ask for her forgiveness and understanding, or you can find some way to politely decline or tell the working girl straight up you're in a happy relationship. Taking responsibility for your actions is paramount - I guarantee walking on a tightrope and being in that corner for the rest of your life is something you do not want to do. At any rate, best of luck to you and I hope everything turns out okay.

LOL, for the under aged, do not think that what he writes is the proper life to live; if it happens, you should deal with it, but until it does, let your innocence be considered the most important virtue, because you'd definitely lose it soon enough; so value it now.
