More "neutral" shape compared to LMO.
1000 DPI vs 400 DPI
Thinner cord.
Can be found for $10(less than mini optical)
similar size
Still optical.
Pretty good if you plan on updating your mouse for SCII.

my mx518 runs on 1800 or something, and its not enough, i actually have mouse speed scaled up on windows a little bit, i guess 2k dpi would do just right for me. But 1k? That either means i can't reach half of my screens pixels or i feel completly alienated by the incredibly slow mouse movement x) i can't even think of just 400 without getting brain damage!

I could be wrong, but isn't dpi just a measurement of how often the mouse is checking for position? I've always related dpi to how accurate a mouse will be, as opposed to how fast it is. edit: looked it up, guess speed is a factor too. Now I feel dumb

Don't see much benefit either ![]()

Nah, DPI is dots per inch means if you move a 400 DPI mouse one inch with the mouse on "pure" settings then it will go 400 pixels which means it takes 4 inches to go 1600 pixels (not even the width of some monitors).

I think I'll buy 2 or 3 because they will inevitably be discontinued and when it breaks the warranty will be for something else.

I have my MX518 set on 2nd lowest setting (windows setting set at exactly the middle-point). Anything above that, and I can't even see where my mouse moves with a minor flick. And I play on 1600x1050 resolution.

To get across my full 1920 pixels screen width I move a little over 15 millimeters, which is about a three quarters inch, and i can handle it perfectly fine ^^ i only rage when trying to do some pixel perfect paint skillz, but my cursor keeps skipping a single pixels every now and then, because of the scaled up windows sensitivity setting. It's always exactly the pixel you're trying to reach, you know? x)

They come in same colors, but the trim isn't black on the white one it's like a light grey/cream color. ps- there is no drivers for this specific mouse, I'm assuming the general logitech drivers would work though. http://www.logitech.com/en-au/428/6540?section=downloads&bit=&osid=1 edit- ok upon plugging in this mouse its really inaccurate. Trying to mess with windows settings and setpoint/logitech drivers to see if I can fix. I can't be sure but I think the drivers helped a little. Still not very accurate at low speed. I'm kinda thinking it has something to do with how the plastic is so thick around the laser eye. can anyone take a pic or scan of the bottom of the mouse so I can compare? I just checked reviews on newegg and people seem to love the m100 and the only reviews for the m110 are the same as mine, inaccurate. I'm really disappointed right now.

Here is a comparison from my Razer Viper and the M100. See if you can tell which one is which. ![]()

Seems like there is little to no amount of acceleration on M100 (I got one in my right hand right now). That amount of acceleration doesn't hurt at all imo. I kinda like that.

![]() Don't really like the somewhat loud scrolling sound but apart from that everything seems to be good. Acceleration seems to be off when you set it so (in setpoint config) and the lines I'm producing in Paint aren't overly straight either.

Don't get it. It feels comfortable, very much like a G1, and very lightweight, but the tracking is ridiculously horrible. 1000dpi, sounds nice for a cheap mouse, but it is so incredibly inaccurate, and pixels already skip at the 6/11 mark, cursor jitters enough to the point where you can tell pixels are skipping. Not only that, if you lower the sensitivity notches to fix the skipping, the cursor will lock up in fast movements just like in the LMO. I just bought it at walmart for 10 bucks yesterday, played all day with it today (thinking all I needed was to get used to it) but it's impossible. The cursor is ridiculously unpredictable because at quick movements it stops tracking correctly. Tested this on a few cloth pads and on my plain table. edit: res at 1920x1080
