Haha, Siberia ALL the way.
I work at a computer store, so I can get it for that price(I rock 8D), but still. I'll tell my friends, for sure.
I have nothing but great things about this headset, and I'm planning on buying one without the usb connection so I can use it for my new pmp i'm getting. Not only is the sound awesome(mic isn't that great, to be honest), but they look freaking AWESOME. ♥
GET THEM. OR ELSE. D:!!

I have a Siberia V2 and I absolutely love it. It's comfortable, the sound quality is fantastic, and they look amazing.

I forgot to mention, they are so comfortable. My friend had a pair and I didn't want to take them off T^T Another person who came into my store mentioned how you feel like you're not wearing them. 2awesome!

Just bought one myself. I'm happy with it. Sits nicely, sound is great, the microphone can be hidden also. (Meaning you can use it with your Ipod or w/e without looking like a retard.)
I can't say if it's better then the one you already have, but it's certainly worth it's price.

been looking to grab a pair for a while. just bought it. can't wait. :D

I got the black edition (basicallly the same) - my whole team is using it and it's by far the best headset I have.
I had no complaints about the microphone either.

Sorry to spoil, this is the V1, where the mic is on the cable, but hey, refurb Siberias at that price are still pretty cheap. :D
|
im pretty sure most people are talking about V2 - this is V1.
I have V2 siberia's and love them, v1 probably barely different (just diff mic).

In what way do you love the v2s. Comfortability or sound quality or both?

The v1s get uncomfortable after long periods of use, get the V2 with the swish leather and slightly better shaping for long game periods, the clip on mics tend to break qutie easily which comewith the V1 so id recommend u just get a desktop USB mic seperate if you do go for v1. I would however go out on a limb and recommend you buy Sennheiser PC350 if its a gaming headset you want ;]

Thank you for telling me. Just now (literally) purchased the V2 from newegg.com It was all sold out at Amazon.

It's good enough that people will hear you clearly

Hmm, is the mic that comes with the v1 really obvious or blends in with the cable.
|
It's a sick headset, but without a microphone, I'd say people should just wait for the v2 to go on sale.
The sound/mic quality on the v2 is GDLK for real.

The sound/mic quality on the v2 is GDLK for real. Thanks. I dont' have much experience. I keep on using my senns for normal playing, and my logitech headset when I'm on teamspeak.

yea i got a v2 USB and it came with a sick 7.1 surround sound sound card and the quality/comfort is a little better then the v1

Why is the Microphone with the v2 so important?
|
On January 07 2011 05:14 StutteR wrote: Why is the Microphone with the v2 so important? What do you mean, why is it so important?
The V1 has the microphone on the cable, and the V2 has the retractable microphone? ?_? Mic qualities are different, so obviously it's an important part !___!
I have a question though; I want to use the Siberia headset (unsure of V1 or V2 right now) with my new PMP i'm getting(The Cowon X7).. Should I use V1 or V2? I have no use for the mic, and i'll probably wear them for extended periods of time.
I'd get the V2 if I was using it for my computer, but yeah.
I'll also, most likely be taking it to a place close to where I work to get them decorated. http://www.hellokittyjunkie.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/425_japanese_decoden_inspiration.jpg http://www.hellokittyjunkie.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/425_japanese_decoden_inspiration_05.jpg Obviously, not with the Hello Kitty(or, most likely not ^_~) but with all the shinies and prettyness ! (I actually want to get a cheaper headset I can use at LANs that's decorated like this. Lmao)

You can separate the mic from the cable and use them just as headphones. The mic component of the v1s is kind of big.

Just got my pair, thank you so much for the link! I wanted a pair but the mic is nto a big deal to me as I use another one anyways.
LOVING the headset, its soooooo comfortable for long periods, and I normally can't stand long periods with any headset. Plus no sweating issue due to the open air design.
Good times, $35 well spent it seems at this point (I only have had them less then a day in all fairness).

The mic quality on the vanilla version is pretty garb though iirc. For a headset purpose I'd say go with the v2 because the mic quality is actually really nice. The only reason to go for a v1 is if you have a sick external mic. like the snowball microphones that are popular for casters, that said, if you have one of those nice external mics, then a headset for just sound reasons can be found for cheaper and better sound quality than the vanilla v1's
