My boyfriend and I used to play BW on iccup. But when we got married and moved to same place early this year, we can't play against each other anymore because we only have 1 PC/laptop. We didn't go to PC bangs as well, I don't know why.
We even made a bet last year - if I couldn't beat him in just one game by end of 2009, I would pay for one of our dates at the end of 2009. Since I'm such a noob, I never won a single game. Well, I won a game when we switch race for fun but that didn't count. He plays terran and I play protoss, it was my first time to play terran and I won. It was ecstatic! May be I should switch to terran but we don't like mirror match ups and I lllooovvveee Bisu.
Moving forward to present time - we now decided to get a 2nd laptop, a netbook. We just got it yesterday and we're going to play BW soon, may be we'll try it tonight. I'm excited for the holidays because we'll be playing BW. We have the same bet again but it really doesn't matter since we manage our finances as one, this is just for fun and for pride. So what do you guys think? Can I beat my husband this 2011?

If you're wondering about my practice time - I don't play that much BW compared to him so basically I don't practice but I can beat our friends when I play against them. Also, I haven't played BW for some time already. I depend on my basic skills even I don't have one lol and lots of luck. Currently, I play some SC2 vs AIs (sometimes I win sometimes I lose in very hard AIs) but only little BW. Speaking of SC2, since we got a netbook, we can't play against each other on SC2, too bad but that's okay.
P.S. I wonder if he's going to see this blog? We share this account but he just usually lurks around and I often use this and make the posts.
I'll count on your husband finding this! If you're there, Mr, SlayerS_BunkiE, a stream/replay/vid/series of screenshots of a couples' match would be hugely entertaining.
I think it's nice when husband and wife share interests like that. And I'd like to tell you to just enjoy the fun time you have together playing starcraft but this game makes a lot more fun when you win! So I still wish you mostly fun but also that you will win games this year! Good luck!!

I believe my wife is selling herself a bit short. Well, she's definitely a noob (we both are) compared to the mass gaming iccup population. But she got real good at this game fairly quickly. lol.... I can still remember teaching her everything from the very beginning. Like she said, in a few months, she actually got better than our other friends we play with (who are all guys btw). Although she's so convinced zerg is imba that she ggs as soon as she sees a muta stack even though she has a bunch of archons lol!
I honestly don't know why she can't seem to get good enough at sc2 as quickly though (she still plays protoss). Terran imba? lol
Anyway, we're both out of practice by A LOT. We can barely split workers now (thanks a lot sc2). It's going to be fun!!

Statistically it is a very safe assumption, even on a Starcraft board. I don't think that gays who are gay enough to want to go through the hassle that is gay marriage are that interested in computer games.
