To make a long-story short I'll give you 2 damn pictures. I walk to my car this morning to go to school and:

The first thing I notice that makes me go "What the fuck?" is this.

+ Show Spoiler +

Jersey roads are a fucking joke. These wheels are 3 fucking months old. $250 to replace, $150 to fix or I could leave it like that. I knew I should have gone for 18" wheels. I knew Jersey roads would do this shit.
[And I know there's a rust problem behind them . It's getting cleaned up in the spring. Right now cold means I will not be working on my car or cleaning it very much.]

I let that go and get in my car, start it up and this LOL Message appears.

$53 to fill up the gas tank. $3.29 a gallon. How the hell do gas prices keep going up in a shit economy like this? It makes no sense. Gas was at $2.60'ish in March or so and now it's at $3.29. Can't wait for that $4 /gallon gas price! $50+ a week in gas is a damn joke.

That...sucks.

I got in my car Friday night and realized I was almost on empty, and the nearest 24 hr. gas station was at least 20 minutes away. I made it luckily. :\

In MA the gas prices are like, $3ish/gal. for regular. Sucks it's so much more out there.

Still need to take them. They are mostly all online, so they'll most likely go great. Gotta love exams with a 24-hour time limit and no professors watching over you.

Regular is still about $2.90 here, but I fill up with Premium because it gives my car better mileage. I've done multiple tests with my car and I always get the same mileage out of premium vs regular in terms of cost. Premium just means longer trips between filling up, but even so, I use all my gas in a week.

I know. Last time I was in Europe (Summer of '08 I think), we were paying about 5.80 Euros for a gallon of Diesel. My parents Mitsubishi Pajero just burned through diesel like nothing. We were spending about 150 euros of disel every week =O.

Came on on Saturday when I was out at 40 miles. There were no 24 hours gas stations around so I just headed home. Sunday I didn't even leave the house and I completely forgot I had no gas until this morning =X.

I know that feeling. My tank on Friday had the light come on then I got stuck in traffic and wasn't sure if I would make it to a gas station in time. I made it and spent $60 on the tank. I hate winter I get so little milage per tank because I have to let my car warm up for 30 minutes or so a day(in the morning, in the afternoon, and before I go home), before I drive it(my fault for wanting it to be semi warm when I get in).

Heated seats are freaking awesome for this very reason. They warm up in about 2 minutes and once they kick in, I'm cozy. Heat only takes about 5-10 minutes to kick in full blast to. It's about 30 degrees out today and I just started the car and took off. I don't keep my car in the driveway, so I can't really warm it up in the street and just go back inside to stay warm =P.

I wish it was that warm. It is about -5ºF(-20ºC) today. I keep my car on the street, have to use the spare key to start it and then use the main key to lock the door. The heated seats only do so much. lol

Get a heater and turn it on when you wake up. It doesn't waste any gas.

Taking the bus would take me about an hour to get to school. First, I would have to catch a bus that's about 1/4 mile away from my house. I would have to walk in the bitter cold tot he bus stop. Then, I would have to get all the way to another stop, get off, and wait for my school's shuttle to arrive. Half the time, it's not on time or it won't show up for 20+ minutes. Driving is pretty much the standard here for students to get to school though.

1 gallon = 3,78541178 liter
1 liter = 1,6~ euro

So in Holland where I live it's about 6 euros a gallon.
6.00 EUR = 7.98659 USD for a gallon in Holland.

Damn US is still much cheaper LOL.

I spent 2 hours last night swapping a donut on to my car in the freezing ass cold and wind because my front tires deflated from the cold weather and one of them came off the rim. And I can't afford new tires because I'm too broke right now, and I can't drive on the donut because there is several inches of snow on the ground here. So I am going to have to sell my car because it isn't doing me any good right now and I can't afford to get it fixed.

...and I didn't even think it was blog-worthy.

Regarding the gas prices: Lindsey Williams advised people that gas prices would go up this November more than 6 months ago. He really stressed this during the oil spill. Gas prices have absolutely nothing to do with the economy, instead they are a reflection of how fast goernment tyranny is expanding (My source is a former oil CEO who was dying of cancer.

If you don't live in a big city, public transportation is terrible. Unfortunately, I live in the suburbs where public transportation does not exist for the most part or is really shitty. It's readily available to go to malls and stuff, but not to places like schools.

A blog is supposed to be about anything, so I'll write it if I want to. It's not my fault you didn't check your tire pressure and completely screwed yourself. Unfortunately, I did everything right. I made sure the tire pressure was perfect even in the cold and I even drove slow as hell on Saturday to avoid any potholes, but it still wasn't enough. I ended up getting cornered into a massive pothole that bent my wheel. I'm pretty sure you would be pissed too if you spent $1,750 on a new set of wheels + tires and in 3 months, one of your wheels got bent. I'm not happy about it at all and I blogged about it to vent.

Dude that is one bad luck there. Well everyone has to have bad days sometime. Anyways i really don't understand how can you complain about your gas price when you have 3$/gal. Gas cost about 6$/gal. in our country and our average salary is 1200 $/month before tax compared to yours 3300 $ before tax...So yeah, i really like how people complaining no matter what. I wish some of us had the chance to try to live in a developing country somewhere in Africa or Asia, then maybe we will stop our complaining about every little shit in life.

What the fuck is it with people attacking me because of gas prices? Gas prices in my country are higher than they have ever been previously (at least in my area). I have the right to complain about that. Quit giving me shit like "my country is $6 a gallon!" I understand that, but that doesn't mean I have no right to complain about our gas prices. If you feel so strongly about your gas prices being so high, then lobby your damn governments and tell them to lower taxes on them.

In other related news, I bent the other front wheel today. Jesus fucking christ this sucks. It's barely noticeable, but it's there. Nothing like the damage done to the wheel in the first post, but holy shit is it annoying. Gotta love New Jersey roads!

Public transportation isn't always better. It costs me $3.75 and takes 2 hours for me to get the school via the bus, but it's a 25 minute drive and doesn't even use a full gallon of gas (there and back, my car gets 35-40 mpg and its 15 miles each way).

Anyway on topic, how did that happen to your wheel, a big pothole or something? Sucks to happen when you just got em 3 months ago

Why would any student go by car lol, take the bus or something, so much cheaper. Everyone does that over here.

In New Jersey there's a pothole every 15 feet. Doesn't matter if on local roads, the parkway, turnpike your car is gonna get fucked somehow or another by a deformity in the road. Now it's a different story once you get onto some of PA's scenic highways... Anyway, the same thing happened to my rim and it's causing the tire to cave in slightly. I haven't replaced it yet but should. OP where do you go to school if you don't mind me asking?

I go to Ramapo College. A quiet little State College . Well, not that quiet anymore after the 4-Loko incident. 9 Freshmen got sent to the hospital. The College got some pretty shitty press after that incident.
A marine walks into a bar and asks, "Wheres the counter?"
