I'm looking at who's qualified for the round of 16. Jesus, that's not a nice line up. At all. Obviously some level of rage seeing how nobody from Stars made it through the qualifiers (except free, but he was seeded in anyway so doesn't count), but in general, it seems like so many mediocre players have made it in that I have little interest in. As someone pointed out in today's live report thread, he doesn't want a load of ZvZ - while that's true, that's only because a ton of mediocre zergs are through. Zero, Soulkey, Action, Roro are all out, we obviously have no Effort anymore, we can't even see Kwanro just 5sz6sz7sz1a2a3a. Let's see who we've got instead:
- Flash. Not too interested in watching his games really. Can't recall the last time he played anything other than standard against anything other than Jaedong. He's so far ahead of anyone not called Jaedong that he can just play standard and win regardless of what they do. Boring.
- Jaedong. See Flash comment. Obviously with so many zergs he could lose the whole rock/paper/scissors build order roulette, but probably not. Unless he plays Zero. Which he can't.
- Stork. Wouldn't mind him winning, quite like his games, especially when he goes carriers. I'll allow that.
- free. Fuck yeah. Don't know how anyone can not like free.
- Sea. Didn't really want to see Violet advance, and definitely didn't want to see Killer advance. Deserves to be here, usually gives decent games, I'll allow that.
- Mind. Oh god no. Would much rather Action make it. When was the last time Mind was relevant? I can't remember a single one of his games, other than that WCG series against Luxury which was a cheese fest. Boring.
- Calm. Didn't overly care who came out of his group. When on form he's decent, but when was the last time he was on form?
- Modesty. No thanks. Still, at least it's not Pure.
- Kal. Protoss = good. Abusive style that saw him knock Baby out = better. Not a huge fan of his, but at least he's starting to pick up form and should give some decent games.
- Fantasy. Not a fan. I'd rather Fantasy be here than Hyun, but I'd rather Horang2 be here than either of them. I just hope that he ends up in free's group for more epicness, otherwise I don't care about what's basically a good but dull terran who likes vultures.
- Hiya. While I like Hiya, it just really, REALLY sucks that he was in the same group as Snow and Soulkey, both of which are good enough to make this stage but can't because the groups ended up with garbage like Movie/Frozen/Hyuk in one group and wasting spots. Please to keep doing interesting builds.
- Paralyze. YES! Checks the protoss box, the epic hair box, the royal road box, and by getting this far he's better than his teammates Bisu and Best. Fact. His games with Leta were great to watch, and he'll have some of that newbie nothing expected of him naivety which'll allow him to play well without pressure.
- Hyuk. Yes, it was funny when you got that all-kill last year, now you're probably the fourth best zerg on a team with garbage zergs.
- Hydra. How dare you knock out Kwanro. Still don't forgive you for beating free in that ace match last month. Kindly leave the tournament at the earliest possible opportunity.
- Hogil. Another no-name zerg that came out of a group containing two of my favourite players. As such, I hope he loses horribly.
- Shine. I kind of like Shine, seeing how all-in players that lack skill who also have a habit of allowing you to drink the tears of Bisu fanboys are inherently funny. I also like him because he couldn't quite press home his advantage against Effort in the Korean Air OSL quickly enough before Effort's mouse broke, and if he had, we'd never have had that hilarious final. That said, I'd rather Bisu be here.
So yeah, lack of Zero, Soulkey, Bisu, Best, Snow, all of Ace, Baby, Stats, Light, Leta makes me unhappy. If the group draw sees us get something like Jaedong/Hogil/Hydra/Mind or free/Paralyze/Sea/Hiya, I might punch a kitten. This is somewhat rantish and I should probably stop now.
Protoss biased or not, he's right. I'd rather watch Bisu-ZerO-Soulkey and all those other good players instead of HoGiL, Modesty, Hydra, Hyuk, HiyA and Mind.

While I agree that he's not garbage, Movie's play really has slumped from when he first started to come out as a top player. When watching the OSL, his play seemed a lot more sloppy and less refined than it looked like before.
Stork+fantasy+hiya+paralyze make this osl barely acceptable. I agree that I would like to see your list of players there too, exept light and stats.
To look on the bright side, Free, hiya, hyuk, fantasy, shine, calm, paralyze and new kal all have a knack for having interesting games. At least there should be some fun games even if I dont like the players.
Clearly, if those players didn't get in, they weren't outplaying their opponnent, thus not deserving the entry in the RO16, and I am a huge Flash fan and you call his games boring? OMG WATCH SOME BW FOR GOD'S SAKE he outplayed soulkey so fucking hard, his micro was godly and he used some of the best dropship plays in his game against snow i have ever seen.
He has become really aggressive with his playstyle so pelase shut up about him. Then, Jaedong, he is the best ZvZ'er out there and can knock out an A-team toss/zerg/terran any day. Jaedong's and Flash games are ALWAYS fun to watch, doesnt matter if they pwn their opponents, their dominating is just so awesome to watch.

well, zero lost ZvZ, unfortunate and not his best mu but whatever bo loss and epic game 3 vs hogil (the draw) then you call soulkey, who just played really mediocre against hiya and used strange builds and got too greedy, Bisu is just an overhyped fool IMHO, come on, it's Shine ffs! build an archon and make cannons. Seriously, someone eneds to teach Bsu goons dont beat hydras, at all! He is too overhyped, hasn't come across any noteworthy terran (really is mediocre) and beat zergs in very, very shaky games with mistakes on his opponnents parts (still give the guy credit though, he is a master of PvZ) best is just horrible and loses to any random zerg because he can't PvZ for shit.
Let's see, Snow got outplayed by soulkey, and didnt really show his potential in the 0-2 beating he received from soulkey. All of ace? ok... Baby got cheesed out by Kal, but was really ignorant in his academy timing, both games. Stats was eliminated by Hogil, who is a ZvP sniper, and Stats has already said once in an interview he doesn't trust his vZ skills. Light is slumping hardcore and Leta got rolled by Paralyze. So yeah, not really undeserved eh? or they got outplayed by their oponnent or they get matched up with thw rwong player, like best vs any zerg, bisu vs shine (lol) and zero vs a zerg (although zero's ZvZ is getting really good) so this is deserved IMO for almost all of them (except Kal) and you shouldnt wine about them, if you have a weakness against any race, and you get matched up with someone from the race you are bad against, it's game over.
JUST GONNA SAY IT, HOPING FOR ANOTHER FvJ FINALS YEAHHHHHHHH
hope we see some good games out of these players and not too many ZvZ's.
oh yeah and bisu sucks against terran and is mediocre in PvP and cant beat shine in pvz lol

You seem to be happy with half of the players that are still in the OSL o_o; I would say that's pretty good. You can't always have your 10 favorite players in OSL at once.
Shine won game 1 because he did exactly what he had to do to win. There was basically only one option that would have let him take the game at the position he was in at the time and he killed Bisu with one move. That is amazing.
Yeah, overall there are high level players, some you like, some you don't, average/promising players, some you like some you don't. Sounds terrible, I don't knwo how we'll be able to watch that. Fanboys...
the only real bad part of this osl is the number of z scrubs hyuk hogil hydra modesty
mind and hiya are weaker than they once were, but at least they have some sort of possibility of performing well
so like 1/3 of the Ro16 is scrubbery... imo that's pretty bad. of course i'd much rather see those 6 players replaced by bisu, best, soulkey, snow, zero, baby... but we have what we have, and we should derive as much entertainment as possible from watching them
