I love your no-gas naturals, so much for greedy macro games. 3-base Zerg vs. FE Protoss, are you kidding? Z would still only get 1 gas lulz. 2 Hatch Muta, gas for Double Armory, 2-Base Carrier... boring stuff like this just doesn't cut it.
I miss your expansions, they always made me be like "WTF?". Needing 3 empty drones to set up an island, that was weird. And the middle expansions being abuseable from outside ... :}
I love your conception, back when not everything had to be a minimum-20-minute-macro-fest with identical maps (and wallable nat's for Terran?!?): Yeah, Mass-Game THIS

All in all, I wish you'd come back and completely rock the Programing world.
The strangest thing is I came in 2008, you were long-gone by then. I never ladder'd with you, knew your gossip imballances, got psyched for your Proleague and Major League matches or did any of the wierdass strategies only you could allow (MnM + Wraith TvP, float-drone-take-expo happy-time, 1-base carrier FTW).
I never got to do this:

That is THE-SPOT on this map, it is literally the perfect place to morph your lu nkers because as you see, when you send units to and from the mains they just barely miss that point a.k.a. pass right next to it but don't actually scout the morphing.
All I have are memories, memories that aren't even mine, but your magic makes them real, I'll never regret the time I spent with you, theorycrafting or in awe.

I love all maps, they make the game change each time but I really love old maps!
NOTE: This is the fore-bearer of a larger discussion I'd like to generate this Christmas (as in, when I have time) about all the old maps I missed and all the racial imbalances/gossip about them, their imba spots, their trivia, why some were discontinued and others not, who was pwning up the shit on them... and really just sharing and remembering the glory days where you couldn't have a computer program optimize your build 160million times.

yes the map was wierd, and that's whats awesome about it. The games turned out odd.
Watch progamers on that map. If i remember correctly Jaedong vs Flash(or was it savior...) played that map and it was a cool game.

There was a really good Stork vs. Nada game on 815 too, in one of the ODTs. It was a great map, but laddering on it was a pain because every game was long.
Now that I think of it, iloveoov and casy had an unbelievable TvT on 815 as well. I can't remember which tournament it was in, but they had one of the best and most intense BO5s of all time.

Awesome write-up - although I've *really* enjoyed the current season of Proleague, I also have a soft spot in my heart for classic games and maps. Perhaps the level of play displayed back then wasn't nearly as high as it is now, but they were entertaining for different reasons.
