Help needed at focusing!

Hey! I have had trouble with focusing on tests on school. For example I usually forget to read whole question and miss something important and sometimes I just completely missunderstand the guestion and lose a lot points of because that. Also sometimes, when I read from book I completely forget what I just read. Really, I need tips to focus better ^^

Give yourself five minutes to read properly though the questions, don't just jump straight into typing. Just read and re-read the questions, then figure out some basic strategy over how you want to structure the answer, THEN start writing.

Also sometimes, when I read from book I completely forget what I just read. Really, I need tips to focus better ^^

Yea, this happens to everyone I think. If you feel your concentration is slipping, just stop reading for 15 minutes, then get back to it.

Should probably go and see a doctor then. I have that problem too, but that just comes down to me being bored and daydreaming instead.

ahhh, i always tell myself to 'read the question as it is'. Not 'what it might possibly want' or 'what i think it may want' or trying to give the oh-so-perfect answers. and yeah, been doing well since then : )

I actually have the same issue. I tend to skim questions and kind of assume what they're asking.

The only way I've been able to beat it is by recognizing when I'm doing it and then forcing myself to concentrate on every single word in the sentence. The hard part is knowing when you're reading the questions too fast and stopping yourself.

That means you're going too fast. Slow the hell down! That also means you need a highlighter. Highlight phrases, not sentences. Ask yourself what a sentence was about everytime you read one.

Sleep properly, do more sports, drink less coffee, chill out in general. Start studying to the test early, make sure you understand everything you read, be patient, don't haste things, you have all time in the world. Stop giving a fuck about your surroundings while writing the test, including time.
