So we've been developing a new version of the site. It's quite the long process, but things are turning out rather well we think. The biggest change is the switch to HTML (Yay!)! So that will hopefully please some of the Flash haters who had good reason to complain
All of the screenshots will be taken with 1280x1024 resolution so you don't get all the extra space from my gosu display
Here's a quick overview of what the new site looks like before I go into some of the new features
Home Page
But who cares about the home page right? Let's get to the important stuff...
Brackets
An example of what the brackets will probably look like. These are the current brackets for GSL season 2.
(If you don't like the ads, adblock knocks 'em out - however, we appreciate the support of those who would disable their adblock and generate some good things for us, so that we can give more back to the community)
How about a new feature?
We think this one is pretty handy... We're adding the ability to link to live streams!
It probably isn't going to be perfect, but close enough we think it could prove useful. It works by checking to see if a designated stream is live and updates accordingly. The button "Live Video Streams Available" should only display when the tournament status is "Active," meaning chances are, games are taking place. We did this to avoid the Live Video button from appearing simply because it sees an active stream which might not necessarily be streaming the tournament at that given time - just to try to avoid any confusion.

Switching to html is definitely very good. The layout looks pretty sexy too!

Sweet, looks good! BB has always been the best bracket site imo :D

The idea of html instead and the main basis of your website is solid.
A few slight changes to the design aspect could go a long way though.

EDIT: On topic...that actually looks really sick. Keep up the good work.

Looks cool. Looks like we are already added to the stream list so I don't have to ask lol!

So since it's HTML will we now be able to search for a name in the bracket? I know in some of those 512 player tournaments it can be quite a chore to fine where someone is.

For example... if we put ICCup.tv on a tournament you aren't actually streaming, you'll show up in the list as a live stream anyway, even though you're providing content for another event.
All the admins have to do is provide a link to the stream (taking ICCup.tv as an example) the only thing needed would be the URL "http://www.ustream.tv/iccuptv"
From there the site automatically checks the stream to see if its status, live/offline, and updates accordingly.
So the admin of the tournament picks and chooses which streams will be shown in the list for their respective tournaments.

So you will be able to search for specific players and things like that.
