Found these again after reading them some time ago. He brings up some really cool points and it's definitely worth the read during all this BlizzCon downtime.

This was posted when GameRiot was 'the big thing' with a lot of hits and a lot of revenue. The recession burst the bubble though.

Looking at this I can't help but think this is the future of Nerdstomper as well. Semi-committed articles that are put up mostly for the sake of $$$ on a platform destined to die out. =\

:O never seen part 3. I remember I used to play toss and hotkey everything from 1-5 no matter what since every video-game I played I'd have my hands on wasd. After reading the blogs I finally started realizing you can put your hand on the right side of the keyoboard for early game.

its faster not to use f2/f3/f4 for rax location but you need all the available hotkeys for controling an army in tvz (and 0/9 for scans) if you want to be using all the rines that are massing

Okay you gotta qualify that statement because I don't ever remember this being true. I remember them having a lot of sub-par content from people who had to get hits by posting it to TL and saying "yo click my link cuz i don't get paid otherwise" and it being the cause of some minor scuffles here.

How is it faster not to use the F keys over rax? F key takes one press and one click to focus on a rax. Regular hotkey takes 2 presses instead of 1 click +1 press. If anything they're at least equal. I'd even say F keys are faster b/c they jump instantaneously to the screen and you just have your mouse ready over the rax.

Must have burst it pretty bad cause Starfeeder is just filled w/ spam posts for like the last few months.

you need those 4,5,6,7 hotkeys for units
hence f-keys are better late game

Any newer player who wants to get serious about SC2 should read those Tasteless articles. It's an aspect of things not a lot of new players think about.
