Midian was amazing, but with his poker skills I doubt he'll find the motivation to grind away the SC2 ladder.
If he decides to take SC2 very seriously DeMuslim is gonna have trouble getting invites to tourneys as second best british sc2 player.

I dunno man. Midian used to be very good. Before my time actually, but I remember that time in late 2007 when he came back from inactivity to smurf Nony when he was practicing for WCG.
People used to make strat forum threads here where they'd ask a zerg question and just go ahead and include his name in the title as well :p

He was before the time of a lot of the other top non korean zergs mentioned in this thread.Any reps you've seen of him from past like.. 07 i'd say was of him playing 2-3 games then logging off for like a year. I remember he was in dream.t) though ages ago and i had soooo many reps of him against pro's/semi pro's playing really gg's with them. I know I may be a bit biased cause he's my favourite non korean player easilyy, but he really was a beast back then.

No, not really. Every zerg mentioned in this thread (mondi, ret, sen) was already a top tier non-Korean before midian was really known.

For me midian is second for many reasons while you may argue ret and sen posted better results etc ret didnt play zvz for the longest time. Then for me its personal preference between sen and midian.
Mondi midian ret then sen is probably my personal rankings for foreign zergs through the years

Midian was my favorite zerg after mondi. Glad to see him back. Funny thing was when I met him a month ago he said he wasn't going to play sc2 lol

There is no objective way to do a ranking like this, but as someone who has seen every good non-Korean zerg play since about 2001, I definitely wouldn't put him second or anywhere in the top 5. In my opinion, achievements must be factored in, and other than WCG UK I can't remember him winning anything worth mentioning. Aside from mondi, ret and sen, guys like testie (all his races rank in the top 10 among non-Koreans), blackman, tomson and f91 should be considered. Everyone can agree that midian was an extremely good player, but second greatest non-Korean zerg ever is a little much.

I agree. Everyone just romanticizes oldschool players. With Swedish bias, I would put HayprO above MidiaN as well. I never remembered MidiaN winning anything either. He was insanely good, but second best non-Korean zerg is just really weird when SEn, Testie, Pj and F91 were arguably the best non-Korean player at one point in time regardless of race. I don't think anyone ever argued that was the case for MidiaN.

Well... F91 was almost definitely better, but the others I'd have to disagree, just judging from the way he played in games vs Yubi, Jangbi, and In_Dove.
