This morning Jane had difficulty getting her young horse out of its stable. She tried to talk to him softly and persuade him to get out but nothing worked, and the beautiful Friesian would not budge. The caretaker was a bit worried because the race was to happen the next day, April 31, and the horse was showing signs of not wanting to run. It was necessary to train today, especially since tomorrow’s race would probably be the last before its retirement from competition. When the horse finally decided to walk out on the leaf-covered ground, he looked sad and depressed, and Jane finally noticed that one of his legs looked sore and that he limped a bit. She called the vet immediately. He reassured her, telling her it was nothing serious. Find the odd word in the following series, and justify your answer.
