Originally i had this as an edit but i figured i should make a new post since you responded while i was typing 
ok, I figured out how to register but the whole process is convoluted as heck. I had to google openid and saw that somehow it's affiliated with google accounts. Then I had to activate my google account public profile. Then I have to navigate back to sc2.fm and select to login using openid. I punched in my public profile URL and FINALLY it lets me register a account.
After all this I'm still pretty pretty confused as to what the hell is the point of using openID and going through this whole convoluted process if I have to register a username/password afterward anyhow. Is there a way to cut out openID as a middleman?
Also it'd be great if you added in a logout button/option somewhere. I'm just messing/testing around the site atm and I have to delete the cookie in order to log out -_-
this is a minor thing, but it'd be great if I can just hit the enter key after I enter something in the search bar. It's a little annoying to have to click on the magnifying glass after i type in something.

Yes the openid thing is pretty confusing, but you can register normally without using openid as well. I had a lot of people asking me for an openid login, so i implemented it. I find it confusing too, but some people like it a lot, so why not.
You can either register like you would on any website out there without using openid or connect your openid account with sc2.fm.
Yep, the search bar "glitch" is known and is very high on my priority list. Will be fixed soon.

-> I've worked most of your UI-suggestions into the new theme, that just launched some days ago
-> Most of the features you requested are currently coded, but need some more testing before they air. There will be a lot of new features coming in the next weeks.

oh this seems nice , always a pleasure to see other coders working on sc2 related stuff.
Guess it needs more publicity tho , only 2 pages of comments for this? No doubt you'll get much more attention with more publicity (maybe post in a more active forum like sc2 general , in future?) and maybe a little more eye candy .
