A few of the people that made my bw experience over the 12 years, foreign and korean.. incredible and I'll never forget.
I'm writing this as a memorial to these amazing players, and hope one day it comes around that they will all move to sc2.

I made fun of Androide before becoming a huge fan after his WCG 2nd place run
I always thought Veg was a weak player and that Canadians were bad at SC since he was considered one of the top Canadians
I had my love for Chojja marred by Tfeign's fanboying
When I was a newbie I thought Gundam was stupid for only having 2 scvs on gas, before I realized part of the gundam rush was pulling scvs for more minerals
Doggi should be on that list for being the butt of so many jokes and the object of so much unjust foreign hate
Ret's TvZ. He had the best 2 fact tank for a foreigner. I miss that build/style of TvZ so much
I miss Blade Storm because I dominated 2v2 pgtour with my friend on it

and I agree with you, really miss that good old time...whenever I remember that time, I'd just watch some old school replays (I got a big replay base, some of my fav reps are from WCG 2001, and around that time)

Ogogo was a korean who came 2nd in wcg 2003 as a relative or completely unknown. He hopped around pro teams and never fit in and I remember he was incredibly cocky and kind of talked shit about other players or something, then he got arrested a few years later for theft

I was 99% sure he won wcg, and was going to say that but then I checked liquipedia before I put my foot in my mouth, and there was a silver medal there.
So I did indeed put my foot in my mouth but it was the fault of my fact checking and not my own memory, as that listing was only for WCG korea, not for the grand final. The moral is never fact check
