Switching from Zerg - An Experiment

I've seen a lot of people on the forums (probably a bit heated from all the balance talk going around) say things like "this Zerg would be 200 points higher if he were Terran"

As a Zerg player who's experienced these frustrating moments I've decided to make the switch and see how I end up. I've played a lot of random 2v2s/3v3s/4v4s playing as Random so I have SOME experience playing Terran and Protoss (Probably about ~60ish wins with each race in team games)

I currently have 0 wins as Protoss in 1v1 and 3 wins as Terran in 1v1. I'll be choosing either Protoss or Terran and play 1v1 ladder exclusively with that race until I get the 100 win achievement. I'll then compare my ladder ranking with my current ranking as Zerg (~160 games won).

Current 1v1 Ladder Points: 1462
Current 1v1 Bonus Pool: 17
Current 1v1 Standardized Points*: 574

First thing I need to decide is whether to play Terran or Protoss. Since I really am not favoring either race right now, I'll go according to poll results so please vote! What race should I switch to?

Haha I don't plan on making the switch fully. I'm going to take it as an opportunity to see the other side of the argument and make my own informed decision on whether Terran and Protoss are that much better/easier. After I hit the 100 wins achievement I fully expect to go back to playing Zerg. I played Zerg all throughout broodwar and even with the number of team games I've played as Terran/Protoss I enjoy Zerg as a race more. I just want to see how "easy" these "easy races" really are.

Coming from a guy who just switched from terran to Zerg, I wish to give you good luck! Terran playstyle is different from Zerg in 1v1, as well as protoss, so you may lose a lot of games until you understand the metaconcepts of each race, just as i'm trying to understand zerg concepts

If you do find out that terran or toss works better for you, please don't abandon the swarm

EDIT: the source of imba talks is Terran, so i think you should take Terran and see what's what

I have a better solution, I'm just gonna stop playing SC2 until they fix Zerg

i sometimes play around with the other races, and protoss plays really easy for me compared to zerg. i have some inbred hate towards terran, and they play too defensive for me (i'm sure i could play more aggressive, but i don't like the mentality of the race). if i were you i'd just keep playing zerg, you're getting better practice playing from a disadvantageous point anyways. plus it feels good to win as zerg.
