Okay this is the situation. I have a classmate named Abel (I know street fighter lol) and he invited me to a LAN-party. Now, I'm 15 and have never been to a lan party before in my enitre life (15 years). But the lan party is from saturday to sunday and my testweek (9 days of tests every day) is begginning on thursday. I am in highschool and I'm in 10th grade(I think it's called 10th grade, in other words my fourth year in high school) and that's supposedly the hardest year in high school. Oh and btw, I don't have starcraft 2 (omg i know right) and i dont have a pc thats good enough to run it...(im saving up!) so it will be the first time that i will play starcraft 2 (angels singing in the background) but I don't know what to do. Oh and btw, he is inviting people that i dont know so its basically like im the newb and know nobody except the classmate. What should I do? Go to the lan-part and not study (sat 12:00 tp sunday 12:00 non stop starcraft, or should i study and make a chance to pass this year? Do I havo to sacrifice my dream in order to have a future lol? btw I know the testweek starts on thursday but it's really hard and I am the kinda person that does all the shit the night before. So yeah, help TL!

Highschool is easy. But then again, you don't even have sc2 or a computer to run it so what's the point of even going. Also, it's not a lan party if it's not even lan *wink wink*.

Study for school man, save starcraft for college. You'll have way more lan parties and free time in college

You can play StarCraft whenever but only go through school once. Study and reward yourself with a lot of SC2 when you smash the shit out of those tests : )

I feel old next to you 15 year olds.

Do whatever you want.
If you're really worried about school, why not study on saturday, go to lan on sunday and then study again when the week starts?

How are you planning on playing whithout SC2 or a computer?

Unless you know you're going to be able to play, you should study. If you know you're going to be able to play, then you should decide if it's more important for you to study or play Starcraft. Simple as that.

You also always have the option of going to part of the party, and then studying for the remainder. It sounds like fun though, I'm sure you'll meet cool people at you still have monday through Thursday to study.

Also, fyi, your toughest years of High School are the two years before you apply to University, so your fifth year (3rd year in the States, but i'm assuming the Netherlands counts the first two years, what we call junior High, as High School) and the first half of your sixth year. The other years aren't important unless you think you'll have a chance at getting into a really competitive college, and even then it's not as important.
In order to move forward, we must rid ourselves of that which holds us back. Check out my stream and give me tips! twitch.tv/intotheskyy

You're making too big of a deal of both things. Study hard right now instead of surfing teamliquid and the rest of the interwebs. Nothing says you need to give up SCII to get good test scores.

Besides that, high school should really be pretty easy... >.>

If you're reading this part, then clearly you did not listen to my advice.

lol i wish my dilemmas were like this!

i don't see how you would participate in the LAN w.o the game or the PC? seems like you'd just be awkwardly standing around unless somebody was so nice as to share. why don't you go to the LAN for 2 hours, and then go back home and study for your exams?

A friend of my classmate is bringing another pc and the game for me so i can play there. But you guys are right, i should study. But in the Netherlands the school system is waaay different than in the usa and other countries. The fourth year in middle school is the hardest and I am in the highest form of education (like a grading system, all students must pass a test when they finish 6th grade (cito) and that test determines if you go to vmbo - lowest, havo - middle, atheneum - highest and there are levels in vmbo (4 stages in vmbo) and I am in atheneum and on my school the fourth year is considered the most difficult- all the teachers and students say it too). Just to clarify the school situation Thanks for all your advice guys, and yay now i have to study... or go to school lol
