Why must you torment me? =..( EDIT: I'm impressed, Boe. The story with Matt, especially, almost brought tears to my eyes. I don't know how you did it, but this conglomeration of seemingly unrelated events somehow melds into a bigger story with greater meaning than the sum. A classical composer hey? That's pretty cool. I know how it is losing that motivation and questioning whether you're doing what you're 'supposed' to be doing. I switched courses after almost 3 years and it was a pretty tough decision. In the end I decided that I could always finish that degree later, the credit of studying all the units I had already wouldn't just disappear. I took 6 months off before deciding which helped a lot. | ||

Seeing him on Saturday brought me to tears - which is really hard for me, as it’s been harder for me to get emotional lately. I saw him sitting in the chair next to Brenda and while they said he would have a hard time remember who I was, he immediately recognized me as his suitemate and I gave him the biggest hug of my life. While he’s still having a hard time speaking fluently, we talked for a good while before I hung out with the rest of my friends from my old university. Apparently no one knew that I was in town still, even though I told them multiple times over summer. Nonetheless, going from vegetation to jumping in the pool and wrestling with us was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever witnessed. And when Brenda told me next that they’ve been dating and are engaged now, I was completely blown away. She’s apparently been by his side since the accident and they’ve formed the most insane bond that I have a hard time explaining; and I envy so much. Something beautiful has been forged through something horrific, and just thinking about it makes me emotional. That's awesome that this Matt person is getting better and recovering from such a terrible accident. Seriously, I wish him well, a stranger he may be. | ||

I hope your friend Matt keeps the nice recovery up and I hope your surgery goes well. I don't even know how to pray and I'll pray for you <3. Do what you love to do, if your interest hasn't peaked from musical studies like you thought then perhaps you should play around in some other studies(cookingggggggg om nom nom). I hope you enjoy the new place you are moving in to, it sounds like it'll be a whole wack of fun. When I can afford it in the future I'm coming down to visit you guys + Show Spoiler + You are much better at paragraphing your stuff than I am LOL + Show Spoiler + I'm fucking dual booting another OS so I can play BW fullscreen without crashes. Also composing is goddamn hard when you know that you can do great music...you will push yourself too hard and then it just doesn´t feel natural ==> so you just give up and think you are lazy. It´s the same for almost all talented and clever people: letting go of your shit is too hard. | ||
