Take advantage of career fairs, your college career services, etc. Also, it's so much easier finding work at a company that is located near your school than otherwise (this is why studying abroad makes things complicated...) | ||

I don't know how hard it is to make a living from music, other than that it must be fucking hard ><. I had some music theory major friends at princeton but they've gone on to do other things in their lives. Only guy I can think of from my school who went on to have a career was David Carpenter, but then again he's like the #1 Violist in the world... X_X. One thing you could consider, is going to a "normal" 4 year program, BUT one that has a strong music program in both performance and composition. This would allow you to further your music while also exploring other areas. If you can make a living from music though, that'd be really sick. I know some pple in Japan who are able to subsist through their recordings and sales at Events >< | ||
