As I've said before, I will go mass gaming and write my experiences on TL.net in my blog. And this is part 1:

The Introduction..

Well, buying the game is easier than it sounds as long as you have 80$ with you. But, will playing be as easy as buying? We'll see.

The installation process was actually long enough for a person who has a laptop with 3gb ram and a decent ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3470 1gb graph card. But, updates took even longer. But, after that long process, all I needed to do was to set the graphics into low quality mode and go 'mass' gaming until I become much better.

First, I registered myself on battle.net (easy easy until here) and start playing. From now on, I'll be referred as LoboMuzenza (my b.net account) or Lobo for short.

Before actually playing against living things who have blood and flesh, I wanted to warm up against AI to make me feel better. And my first challenge was against the keeper of the gate: Very Easy AI using Terran.

Replay of the Game

This game was like a Brood War ZvT where generally mutas are against bio ball of Terran. My game plan was to keep T at home while expanding all over the map and macroing the shit out of as many hatches as possible. But, I'm surprised on 1 thing: SC2 AI says GG instead of mass base trade.

As passing the first gatekeeper, the Very Easy AI, now I'm against the second gatekeeper: Easy AI using Terran.

Replay of the Game

Again, I used the same game plan. And it worked just like the previous one. With only 1 difference, I didn't accept the gg from my opponent.

Now, I think that it's time to face some different opponents. I actually warmed up against T because I thought that T would be the most common race I'll meet. But the first 2 games, well they were not T.

My first opponent was a Zerg who managed to kill my scouting ovie. And just because of that, I thought that he was not noob. But well, result is self evident.

Replay of the Game

This game was 7-pool without scout against something like 14 extractor-14 pool or something like that. The purpose of my build was to upgrade ling-speed right after spawning pool finishes. Every single time when I had 900+ minerals and 260-270 gas, I expanded right away. Being on a novice map was also an advantage for me as it would save my expoes from ling raids in the early game.

I massed lings right away when my ovie was killed until i had 24 lings against my opponent's 8 lings and a spine crawler. But thanks to my opponent's awesome placement, I had been able to run by with all my lings without taking a scratch and eco-bash the shit out of him while I was teching to lair and getting a spire and mutas at that time.

My first ling raid was intercepted because I chose to attack the spine crawler instead of just waiting there and facing the things that were just about to pop up from eggs. But my opponent used his last drone for hydralisk den, which was a totally wtf choice, and his ling counter attack was intercepted by my mutas, all I had to do was to destroy the remaining buildings and get out of the place.

And the second game, which was again a ZvZ. This game had much less lings early game, but much more in late game, but practically the same strat. But, in the previous game, I lacked so much gas that in this game I used almost every single geyser, but still it was not enough to constantly macro mutas.

In the second game, I also made a very interesting decision to avoid engagement with my opponent's hydras. But, when I was in my base, I received a warning that my mutas engaged hydralisks. When I pressed space bar, i saw that my mutas destroyed his anti-air army without even trying. As the game went later and later, I massed lings and after his spore crawlers ate my mutas alive, I just 1a'ed the game out of my way.

Replay of the Game

So far, my good sides are:

1- Scouting: Even though I suicided that many overlords, I was always able to see what my opponents are doing.
2- Macro: I never lacked an army and never had k's of resources in my bank.
3- My almost-decent build order: Which will be better if I can pop up my 1st queen BEFORE my 3rd overlord (before 18 pop).

But my bad sides:

1- Resource management: I could never have enough gas in all 4 games.
2- Spreading creep: My creep was never enough in any of the games, below decent in only game 4 and shitty in other 3 games.
3- Multitasking: You can never multitask enough, but I should have managed to queen all my hatcheries so that i could macro more efficiently and at the same time, i also could engage.
4- Supply block: Maybe the most important one among all 4. Suiciding overlords always put me behind for quite some time.

My challenges for practice league:

1- Have at least 40 out of 50 wins in Practice league.
2- Beat a Terran using Infestors and Banelings.
3- Beat a Protoss using Ultralisks.
4- Beat a Zerg using Roaches and Infestors.

-------------------------------------

I don't know if you give a hoop about that, but in this place, crappy english interviews are golden memes. So, I'll basically give you 3 english interviews and let you enjoy the shit out of them.

First one, ex-Turkey National Football Team coach Fatih Terim's press conference:

Note that "tabele" means League Table.

Second one, Turkish National Footballer Tuncay Şanlı:

Third one, Moon from WeMadeFOX Warcraft 3 team.

Fourth one, Moon retarded.

Well done mate! And not just the games, your blog is really well done, 5/5, I can't wait for part 2. Although as a caveat I have to say the last two blogs I read were girl trouble blogs so my standards have been significantly lowered.
