So Rick Astley went backwards in terms of voice maturity? Usually singers' voices get a lot deeper as they get older. I guess its to be understood then that he was singing in a really exaggerated deep voice during his prime...

His random gesturing bothered me MUCH less than the fact that the camera in every single cut is constantly rotating around him counter-clockwise. After about 45 seconds all I could think about was whether or not the next scene was finally going to let me regain my sense of balance.

I always thought it was a bit lame that the internet decided to "bring back" Rick Astley and "make him a star". It was funny and cool at first, but then I looked him up....he's sold 40 MILLION records in his career. He was a huge deal in the '80 and absolutely raked in the cash..

Its like 20 years from now the internet seizing upon a song by Beyonce and feeling proud of themselves for making her popular again.

Why can't we pick out some talented dude who didn't already become rich and famous and give them a taste of the good life...
