I agree with Malouda, who had a great season in 09/10, as well as Lampard, who is consistently good in the league. I don't know how much Anelka costs, but I don't rate him too highly as his form has always been erratic and never that good anyway. I think this year, especially, will be hard for Anelka as Sturridge is rapidly improving and providing more penetration than Anelka in the pre-season. Berbatov, I think is potentially a golden pick if he and Hernandez will combine often together in a 4-4-2 (which is probably not too likely, since Rooney is a starter). Bent will probably do relatively well for a decent striker in a smaller team. Valencia is a good player, and will consistently provide assists. Hughes is a risky buy since Fulham has changed to an inferior manager (in my opinion), who may not get the best (especially defensively) from his team. I don't think Evans will play that much (depending on injuries and continental and cup fixtures) since he is behind Vidic and Ferdinand in the CB position, and Fabio in the LB position. Gomes had a good season in 09/10 but he's known for being a bit of an unreliable keeper, and I wouldn't say that Spurs is that strong defensively either, being such an attacking-minded team. I would suggest putting some players from Arsenal (e.g. Chamakh, Gibbs), Everton (e.g. Arteta, Howard) and other teams you think will end up in the top eight of teams. | ||
