I just read about Kotick and all the moves that happened lately in activision blizzard.

I feel very guilty for giving them my 60$ which silently approves the way this company is being managed.

If I had known about it earlier, would I still refuse to buy SC2? That's a tough question.

I don't know. It's still a good game, I'm just unhappy the money isn't going to the right guys. I will try to blacklist actiblizz in the near future. fuck that.

honestly i don't know why anyone would give a shit about activision being run shittily in terms of buying the game. when i buy a video game, i buy it because it's a fun game, not because i like how the company is being run. yeah we all know activision sucks, but most game companies also suck nowadays. blizzard is still cool and we are supporting them just as well.

its an awesome game regardless, and you're not gonna punish them by not buying since there are enough people that dont care about how they act, or at least don't let it affect our purchase

I don't plan on buying it, I'd rather play LoL anyways and Riot are actually nice people

I'm even considering applying for a job there, they seem like a great company.

In all of Activision and Blizzard I bet there is more than a few people working at the company that do not share your views or act in a way you would disapprove of. And that applies to most companies you buy products from. Seems silly. I'm also more likely to make judgments on the follow up and if his behavior improves.

To each their own of course. I think the way the company treats their customer/employees and the quality of their products are much more important than their personal private behavior.

If you really care that much and still want to play, buy the game used or something. That way your money never made it to blizzard, technically you paid a random person - not sure how the account would work though just trust the guy I guess?

Ya, sounds pretty stupid right? Well so is contemplating $60 for a video game based on morals. Bro, it's a video game, and ya Activision is fucking greaseball, but guess what? The politics that come from this shit, IS NOT FROM THE GAME DEVELOPING SIDE. Developers made this game because they love doing what they do, most of them have a family, regular people and spent a couple years of their life writing code, coloring, animating... So support that instead of activision, not the million dollar smile, market guys that have cash colored souls.

It's 1 more Epansion okay. Expansions are nothing new at all and as long as Blizzard holds their Standards in quality. The rest dosen^t bother me at all.

You have no clue -_- I don't care about the trial, it's far from being my point here. My point is Blizzard has been taken over by Activision. SC2 success will be the proof that "hey ! it works !", and it doesn't work at all.

Activision will destroy Blizzard over this.

Activision will destroy blizzard? Its getting real annoying seeing people that dont understand business, mergers, subsidiaries and how the effect on blizzard is diffrent then IW. Its like none of you have ever owned a business or tried to get somone to invest into an idea of yours.

People hate kotick for many of the things he says, the type of words he uses. Those are the words you use with investors. He isnt some devil thats diffrent then any other man running a business.

If you think the business practices of actiblizz are disgusting, please dont ever buy a product from a person or store again. Because I would bet my left nut that actiblizz doesnt come close to some things other coorporations do. But then again you probaly go into certain stores with out a second thought and buy somthing, but its only when video games are in jeopardy that you give a shit. Grow the hell up.

Why do you feel guilty? you are buying a product, not a policy.

If you start to look at a firm's policy before buying stuff you'll never buy anything. Or you'll just commit suicide or end up in a monk's cell, whipping your back while muttering prayers to attend your sins and your guilt.

Plus there are not enough good games out there to be picky when one is released.
