Well I was stuck in his division as well until I played my 39th game. It is possible that the AMM is matching him up with only weaker or unknown players more than normal and it hasn't decided to move him up based on not enough information.

His record was like 19-10 or something when I moved up.

Well I always ask people what their ranks are when the game starts, and I check after the games as well. And I noticed when I was stuck in the division that I was playing mostly shittier people for a while. Then I started playing only diamonds and doing better than 50% so it had enough sample size to move me up.

Also, the points mean nothing. When you move up, they are subtracted anyways. I had like 400 points in plat and then dropped to like 185 or something in diamond.

What can be learned here charlie? Don't talk about things when you have 0 idea right? I think the premise for your post was my record "wasn't that good" or something but that again was something you'd have to have made up or have a really high standard for.

what? I never said your record wasn't good. The point I was trying to make is that you hadn't played enough games. But as of right now, it seems that you have (regardless of win or lose).

Anyways, I think I was in 6th plat when I got boosted up to 34th plat. So it really doesn't matter what your metal rank is or how many fakey elo points you have. As long as it's matching you up with diamond players you're fine.

And when you do finally advance a metal league, then you will be transported to the top 20 places or so.

I have only one friend in my buddy list who's in diamond, and he's (they, with his brother) played like 70 games already. It took me like 50 in the last beta testing phase to get into diamond too,so it must be just that. (I had something like 33-10 in Gold, after 5-0ing the placement matches. rofl.)
