Now I have 500+ points in plat with over a 75% rin rate, playing DIAMOND people and I'm still stuck in plat. Oh and incontrol I just beat you on the ladder with imba ghosts ^_^ and got raped one game later! yeah, alright platy

Beginning of beta, mech is not viable, later in beta mech is op.
To be fair, mech was significantly buffed during beta.

However, I was looking at the ladder last night and IdrA was #1 in his Platinum division with a record of 27-1. Yes. 27 wins and 1 loss. The only loss was clearly a dropped game (just a few seconds long) to LzGaMeR (I see that others have observed this as well). I really can't imagine what they use to determine Diamond.
Elo. APM. # of games played. High income/low resources unused. # of drones made lol. the list could go on. Though i think whoever said there is a minimum loss requirement is probably correct.
Any and all of these would be better by players like Incontrol and IdrA. Again, I have no idea what they use to determine this.
That video was hilarious btw.
more likely thrown game imo

It was the same way in beta, I remember being like 50-4 and stuck in platinum, then losing 4 out of 5 games and being promoted to diamond. I thought I was just bugged at first, but I saw multiple friends who would go to 30-2 or some such and not get promoted, while others would get bumped up with 15-9 records. Seems like they left it in for release since some players like Idra/Moonglade aren't being promoted with 30+ wins against 0/1 losses. From what I can tell, the magic arbitrary number is 8 losses, I guarantee you'll be moved up within a few games of your next loss, since you have 7.
Ahh looks like your right, thanks for clarifying. I recall being stuck in a subdivision and after a few consecutive losses being promoted

His record was like 19-10 or something when I moved up. My record is 33-7 atm o-O? yea, well I moved up earlier today and my power went out for a few hours. Didn't keep track of your record very well. What can be learned here charlie? Don't talk about things when you have 0 idea right? I think the premise for your post was my record "wasn't that good" or something but that again was something you'd have to have made up or have a really high standard for. Well judging from an 8-second read of his post, the premise was that the matchmaker didn't have enough information of your matches against good players, and nothing about your record.

Give it 16 seconds on your second try plz. You might catch the 3rd line in his post. It's the one after the space.

The system is really weird, how can Incontrol still be in platinum when there are idiot players that can't defend my first void ray in diamond.
