so I bought an HP tablet computer for med school which was supposed to get here on the 21st.
Just got an email from them saying that they wont be able to ship it until August 4th.
Too bad I'll be leaving for school on August 1st, so WHAT the fuck am I supposed to do? I called them, and I can't even change the shipping from 1 week shipping to 2 day shipping.
Honestly man, why can't they fucking tell me a few more days ahead of time that they are running behind on schedule, instead of telling me the day of. I wont even be in the same fucking state. How the hell am I supposed to even pick the damn thing up?
fuck you HP. People were saying that HP has bad service, but I didn't think it'll be this bad. I don't even have the god damned comp yet, and I'm already having problems. Thank god I have the 2 year warranty.

maybe you can ask them to pay for the cost of shipping it from your home to your school. it's a long shot, but it may work

Ahh, I'm just kidding this type of shit happens to him as an employee all the time.
Good Ol'e American business, and they say the East will be ahead any day now.. with stories like these, how is that possible? Always hearing about the wonderfully outsourced customer service, and changing deadlines for customers and employees alike at the last moment, I find it hard to believe how companies like this can't seem to strive in the modern working world.

At least you didn't go with Dell.
Here is one person's experience with Dell: orders a computer/laptop, dell says it's in stock and will be shipped on xxx date. At that date, nothing arrives. One week later Dell says the computer's not in stock and cancels the order. Then Dell customer support suggests the person order something else.

Incidentally, my HP tablet just broke after one year of service.
