So Hello TL. How you doing? I'm doing great .
sYz-Adrenaline and I got into a little debate today while we were cooking smores together. He likes to make his "golden" brown all the way around. While I like mine slightly burnt and crispy. You know.. Big ball of fire thing going and all ^_^. Anyways, while making these smores, we got into a little argument about which is the correct way to make them. Yes I know that there's no correct way, its how you like it but..still. So this is a "How do you like it TL, so I can rub it in his face or vise versa" blog.

+1 Crispy vote
Adrenaline, you silly. That's like Rare Marshmallow. That's like left-out-in-sun-too-long marshmallow. Noob.
My friend and I are the same way with meat. I like mine cooked but tender; he likes his charred. This leads to some palate troubles when we cook together.
In Your Face! golden rocking the votes I love you TL
I really like crispy! :D But I usually eat mine black since I'm really careless T.T
Psh I have faith in the TL Community!! Burnt is better!!
we all know this blog is meant solely to make everyone jealous with this lovey dovey smores nonsense.
Lightly brown btw.

Burnt is lazy status. Golden all the way.

As I Canadian, I can confirm golden is ideal.

A million times this. Well played sir.

It depends. If I'm making it I like it burnt because I have no patience for making it golden; but if someone else is making it I like it golden because its not my time being spent.

golden
doesn't give u the bad burnt carbon taste + marshmallows FUCKING MELT IN YOUR MOUTH OH MY GOD
It's got to be golden. Tastes so much better.
Golden, but throwing flaming marshmellows into the night is equally satisfying.
never had smores in my life.
Definitely golden. Your burnt/crispy marshmallow looks so unappetizing.

till you catch stuff on fire.. like my wrist.. true story, tried blowing 1 out and it went splat on my wrist, i look and there is a flaming white thing stuck to my wrist.. sucked.
Golden for sure, although crispy is good because you can take the shell off and expose the creamyness.

golden is better. i dont like the taste of charcoal
golden ones aren't carcinogenic. i'd rather not consume all that sugar and burnt stuff together.
I need both. I'll eat a couple golden ones and then I get bored and eat a crispy one and go "omfg this is delicious." Then I'll get bored of crispy ones and go for golden ones.
But I voted crispy because it needed more love.

u missing out

burnt is the way (same with bread)
burnt, golden is tasty but burnt is better.
There is a correct way, and it's golden.
You need to leave the marshmallow on the fire for a while and get it really hot without burning. It's perfect when the marshmallow is so hot that it is melting off the stick and drooping towards the ground. Then you slam it into your cracker/chocolate combo and the perfect heat consistency of the marshmallow melts the chocolate to form this chocolate/marshmallow mixture. Then you eat this and your taste buds explode in utter ecstasy.
Burnt marshmallows are just not the same
S'mores just suck in general. As for the OP, it's not about golden or crispy. If you're making s'mores at all, you're doing something wrong.
K, maybe they're not that terrible, but I find them waaaaay too sweet for my taste.
Augh screw all you non-marshmallow masters.
Carbon burnt taste --> Meh --> AMAZINGLY GOOEY SHMALLOW. --> Twice as delicious. It's like an onion but tasty inside.
Best way is to set them on fire so they get really char'd then put then out and slide off the burnt exterior. It is the optimal marshmallow experience
Its gotta be burnt, way more manly
Gott go for the golden way. Not only does it taste better, its also a mark of competence. Anyone can stick a marshmallow in the fire for 10 seconds until it starts burning. But a nice golden brown marshmallow takes time, effort, and at least some tiny measure of skill.

Optimal = eating the burnt outside with the gooey inside waiting for you.

please +1 to adranaline winning this lol

ETT, you live near me. Use your magic powers and rig the vote.
If you do, I'll buy you dinner next time we go out. eh? eh?
Yeah, go golden style.
oxidized you just made me want smores all over again t.t
Golden... Burned marshmallows taste like crap
Golden, cause burnt is just too "burnty-flavoured" for me.
Golden 100%.
Burnt smores are for women and/or girly men who don't know their way around a fire. Any male lives in an area with 4+ months of true winter and actually knows how to treat a fire right will tell you a burnt marshmallow is a sin.
Haha to the comments of being lazy/ not knowing their way around a fire. Buring them is better cuase one, I love fire and it looks cool, and two, because they just have a more exotic kinda taste I guess? IDk I just think they taste better imo. And yes I do realize Adrenaline one this T_T But I stand by that Burnt ones are better imo ^_^
