Didn't hurt me a lot besides some girls asking if it was my first time dancing. i dont know man, school dances and clubs are totally different stories but sounds like you had a fun night ![]() On July 22 2010 15:24 cunninglinguists wrote: dress in what makes you feel comfortable in. if you're going to psyche yourself out over whether others are going to be going 'omg, that dude is wearing flannel. Also I would strongly advise against flannel or you're gonna sweat your balls off. If you have no other button ups do you have any polos you could wear?

Wow, look at the dress code: http://www.belosandiego.com/index.php/other-links/dress-code I wouldn't be able to get in if I wanted to. What is this: "no head, neck or gang related tattoos" - will they not let someone famous in? This sounds like such a douche club.

Im 19, and no :/ I'm 19 also and hit up 1-2 clubs every week. Normally, I wear a button up or polo, but you can most definitely get away with a nice t-shirt if you want. Jeans are fine too, even though I like to wear shorts in the summer because like I said it gets really hot in clubs, especially if you like to dance. In fact I'm going to college night at the local club in my area tomorrow night ![]()

The clubs I frequent are pretty classy, although I've been to some shady places too, but nowhere near the extent of having a list of what you can/can't wear.

Have to agree with this Sound's like a club full of rich yuppies that will be anything but casual or enjoyable. If you can't just wear what makes you feel like you look good then don't bother going imo because it seems like this place sucks (i mean that dress code rules out 90% of anyone's wardrobe and who the hell goes dancing in a suit and tie? Or even in slacks? WHO goes to this place?)

A scene where "hiding shit" (you know, weed, ecstasy, mushrooms, who even knows what else) is pretty much encouraged. Seriously seems like the most uptight place i've ever heard of. Let me guess, rhythmically moving your body in any way other than a classical waltz is also banned there?

Also they don't just ban it because of that, they want people to look good so their club gets a good rep and attracts more people and more money. I mean all the people complaining about this club's dress code, I'll admit it is a bit ridiculous, but do you want to go to a club where there's all kinds of gangsters wearing baggy clothes and shit? Generally, when I go out I wanna look good anyways. T-shirts are fine for everyday stuff, but having a few nice shirts never killed anyone.

Unless you are into overly formal clique douchebags and boring rich people who can't think of anything to do. fuck that shit, I won't go anywhere with a dress code except under duress...have a nice casual party and actually enjoy yourself.

I don't know of many (read any) places that actually enforce a dress code like the one posted. Its just a tool for them to refuse entry to people should they wish to. And there are a lot of clubs here in DC and Bmore

One thing I've never bothered asking is why they don't like plain T's. Just too boring was my guess.

It will start to annoy you pretty soon because the material just isn't very suited for clubbing. If you have to choose between the flanel and the white I would always wear the white. Roll up the sleaves, don't button the top button and try to wear the collar not to stiff. You should be fine and looking good.

Looks damn good. | ||

edit: I guess it also depends on whether you think wearing jeans is acceptable... I mean if it's black-tie dresscode occasion, I'm obviously not arguing in favor of sneakers, but we're talking about a club here.
