This surely will give Sneezing Panda a run for its money ...
Quality is ok, but I wouldn't suggest boxing matches in the dark
|
The lighting (thus main focus) is on the chair+bamboo thingy in the foreground. Can you remove those, and put the lighting on YOU? That imo would really improve the quality...

quality seems good enough, but I think angles / distance would be more imporant?

i certainly hope not, i can't imagine what you would've posted if you thought you were already being humble enough. it'd just be like a video of you getting out of bed and calling that athleticism ^_^
quality would be better in the daytime btw

You don't use boxing gloves?
Do you have any boxing training or do you make it up as you go or what? I tried practicing like that once at a gym and realized I had no idea what I was doing.

You should record again with more light and take away the things in front of camera. But the quality seems good.
Im glad this is not a brag blog because you would fail.

must be a soft bag?

Ok first off 1. gloves and wristwraps. You'll open your knuckles by scratching the punch bag 2. If you are going to box with your friends, you better start getting your form right. Keep shoulder tucked up, and keep guard up
![[image loading]](http://bp2.blogger.com/_z3sbklecSxA/RjoXOsesE6I/AAAAAAAAAWc/ZjULgGF1f44/s320/jab.gif) Look at stance on feet and how they move with each punch. Also, when you are throwing a punch, the other hand protects the face and elbow protects the body. Start doing jabs and straights. One two one two several times.
Btw, I STRONGLY suggest you watch how actual punching is done before you and your friends start fighting :S
|
Lol sure don't wear boxing gloves...
But when you start getting stronger punches don't come crying when your knuckles are torn apart though... Also, do you take lessons? Because I highly recommend doing so. (If you're serious about this ofcourse otherwise just have fun with your friends :p )
Edit; The camera should be closer and more bright tbh

What is that...a 20-30kg bag from Kmart? Anyone can swing a bag like that around. Go work on a 100kg+ bag if you to train for some good boxing skills. You look like you have some power! You should upgrade.
Some pointers: Your guard is very low which is causing you to throw very low angled punches which also looks like you're throwing hooks most of the time o.o You will definitely mess up your elbows if you keep that low guard.
Boxing is all about your stance and guard. You can win by throwing pussy punches all day with a good guard and stance.
|
eh please please please wear gloves. I see so many people thinking they're tough without them, then brake something in their hands by punching wrong.
Also if you're going to be "boxing" with your friends you need to work on stance and guard like kudojoe, otherwise you're not boxing, you're punching. And please use gloves if you're going to be ridiculous enough to have unsanctioned fights.

this is what i noticed too unless youre just still testing the video and started to punch. If not, then work on your form otherwise its not really a boxing match and just a fight with hands going all over the place imitating slaps =D!

please keep the boxing in the ring.. so many things can go wrong especially if you have no idea how to box.

fuck that, get drunk and bareknuckle your friends in a winner takes all tournament like the original UFC format. I'd watch that.
You'll need a championship belt and girls in bikinis to make sure the viewer knows what round it is.

When my friends hit it as hard as they can a few of them really hurt their wrist so no its not soft. About as hard as any other bag.

Quality is fine, not that good, not that poor. Also one of the most pointless video : /

Kinda weird how he throws his punches, yes... also wearing gloves is a good idea, doesn't matter if you are 1xx/2xx lbs strong/not strong.

And I will take everyone's advice and hopefully I will shine when boxing with my friends. Of course getting good takes some serious practice though.

then I have to agree with everyone else who says to use gloves. Lots and lots of people fuck their hands or wrists up by accidentally hitting the bag wrong. It will definitely happen eventually and you will regret it.

For some strange reason Diuqil reminds me of Fight Club.
"Let's go start some 'boxing matches' with our friends."
"Of course we'll use 'gloves' "

What do you mean your hands slip?
They shouldn't slip off the bag when punching, and if they're moving around in the gloves too much, just use wraps.
Wraps fix almost every problem when using gloves, and prevent a lot of injuries from occurring.

One more thing you should train first in front of a mirror because you have very bad posture and if you gain that habit i cant say that you are screw...
|
Few things
A.) Like everyone says, get Gloves. You might be getting away with it now cuz you're doing straight punches, but I guarantee you'll tear the skin off your knuckles if you start throwing hooks into the bag. Gloves AND wraps also let you punch a lot harder (since you dont have to worry about the forementioned problems of jacking up your wrist/knuckle skin.) I guarantee you'll up your punching power with gloves/wraps than without.
B.) If you're fooling around with friends and boxing each other, just make sure you both have a mouthpiece and gloves at least. Dont be retarded and go full force, slowly amp it up so you dont injure yourselves. I wouldn't recommend it if you wanted to get better though, you just develop bad technique.
C.) I dont know if you meant you went to an exercise gym or a boxing gym before, but if its the latter, i'm really surprised cuz you look like a complete beginner to me.
|
You don't really need gloves during bag practice, just wrist wraps. When you hit a bag, you're not really worried about hurting your knuckles as much as a mishit that will sprain your wrist. That shit hurts and sticks around for some time.
Wear gloves, a mouthpiece, and headgear when sparring. As long as your friends are about the same level as you, I don't think you guys have a chance of hurting each other. Your punches don't really utilize your legs or torso so even a clean hit won't do that much damage.
|
Also, this might be an obvious one, but if you're gonna be sparring outside, make sure to keep the gloves clean and off the ground, as you can get some pretty bad scratches on your eyes just from a tiny piece of grit or dirt on the gloves.
