Just about every song here is beautiful! Please, please make post more of this!!! Norwegian Recycling is also quite good at mash-ups, not that unlike DJ Earworm.

If you dont know her already you might wanna check out Laura Marling. She's friends with those guys and they are slightly involved in some of her songs. Though she's generally more quiet and doesnt have all those loud/quiet switches like Mumford And Sons does. In this song you can hear their influence though: http://www.slack-time.com/music-video-8509-Laura-Marling-Devils-Spoke (awesome video too btw) Gonna check out some of the stuff you posted that I dont know later. I see what you mean. I like that song quite a bit, I'll add her to the "Listen More" list. Sounds a little like the backing to a Basshunter track, but it does a little more than that. I can't say it's entirely my thing, but very listenable. Loved how the song fell of a cliff at the end. I think Delta Spirit deserves a mention, as does yeasayer and Of Montreal (released a track a few days ago). Thanks for introducing me to Stars, I guess that makes up for the grave sin you committed by placing Tell 'Em at #4. (In my opinion) Tell 'Em is unsophisticated, and rather dull. There is nothing new to be found in that track, and overall it just served as a clear warning to steer well clear of Treats. I can't quite put a finger on exactly what about the song makes me despise it, but the ridiculously loud beats at the start are one of the many symptoms indicative of a poor song. A lot of people seem to be in love with that album, but I really do not understand why. Taste in music is by definition subjective, so I guess judging you for liking a track which I see as, for lack of a better word, obnoxious, doesn't discredit the rest of your list which is pretty solid. + Show Spoiler + I can't find anything but live stuff for delta spirit on YT, so here is a hypem link: http://hypem.com/#/track/1149333/Delta Spirit - Bushwick Blues edit: Tame Impala has some amazing music to offer in their 2010 album titled "Innerspeaker". Give Aussie music some love ![]() + Show Spoiler + About Treats; I'll give you the unsophisticated, but I would say Tell 'Em is anything but dull. There's just stuff happening in that song, and it might not make a ton of sense, but I think the energy is infectious, it's exactly what I'd want an opening track to do. I do agree though that the rest of the album is underwhelming, and the only song that really holds up under repeated listening (for me) is Tell 'Em. On July 01 2010 22:06 zulu_nation8 wrote: "Treats" is pretty much the exact same album as the unofficial bootlegs Sleigh Bells put out prior. There's literally no difference between any of of their songs and from when they first started playing live to the release of the album. The guy added some instruments to two of the singles and that was it. You need to get the pitchfork garbage out of your head. "All My Friends" is not the best song of the past decade roflmao. When you take the opinions of pitchfork verbatim, it's probably best to not precede your insight with "in my humble opinion." Psssh. You've accused me of this before, but it's not the case. For example, I spent the last five minutes on Pitchfork to find out that they gave Mumford and Sons a 2.9 or something idiotic, and panned the Stars and Sage Francis album. I have no love lost for that website, but what am I supposed to do, deliberately not like the music that they like? Nah. And "All My Friends" ties with "The Crane Wife" and "Waving Flag" for best song of the decade... in my own opinion, and likely nobody else's. As for the Soulja Boy song, you're right, I totally forgot. That song is the best thing I've listened to since the vuvuzelas stopped.
