Sad story. I have absolutely no suggestions.

I'm sure its been looked at by doctors, and it's unfair to say that he should do ANYTHING social- because none of us have any idea what that is like. Must be hell. Makes me feel very lucky.

Only thing, I can think of, which is sad... become some sort of musician or painter or writer and dedicate your life to the art. Make something no one else could. Plenty of "normal" looking people do this, and it keeps them occupied. Hopefully he can lose himself in something like that. It's what I like to think I would do.

wow... so he is ugly and stupid. that's pretty hard core... dunno what to say. if you are hot, you can be stupid and still get by. or if you are ugly, you better be smart to make up for it. but shit, ugly and stupid... uhm, not trying to be mean. just saying.

maybe he can start a shelter for other ugly people? honestly, the teacher's exam isn't that hard. how can he not pass it twice.

he needs to get his ass in gear and study hard or something. honestly, no matter how dumb you are, if you work hard, you can do reasonably well in the education system. I'm guessing that he's just too depressed which is affecting his study skills.

hook him up with some fat ugly girlfriend who is just as desperate as he is. once people get some sexy action, they start doing better.

Well I think the priority is to ease his depression, job is pretty much his business and you can't help a lot on that. Find him a hobby, perhaps a musical instrument or arts-related thing?

Whatever he wants to? Keep trying to pursue his own goals? He may have his troubles and may be depressed but he doesn't need advice from the internet to know what he wants to do with his life. Not that he's asking for it, but there's nothing people here can suggest that will be of any relevance. He needs support and encouragement from your brother, and hopefully that can help him turn things around.

He sits at home and looks online for job postings all day, which is in my opinion, the saddest thing I have ever heard of.

I'm about to spend the rest of my summer looking online for jobs and playing Starcraft (2?), why is this sad? <_<

Maybe talk to a Psychologist or a Psychiatrist? Depression actually can be a biological problem and medicine can do wonders. It also helps to talk about his situation with a person who is educated for this, at the least he will feel understood.

Since he's obviously bombing out in the world of teaching, maybe he can find time to examine what he really wants to do and pursue something that he is rewarding and he is good at. The two are kind of interrelated. Seriously though, teaching? So he's basically telling himself that he had so much fun getting ripped on in highschool that he wants to do it for the rest of his life...

Maybe he can look at the options provided by his current education and see if anything looks attractive. No pun intended.

if he wants to teach, maybe he should consider teaching at a disabled school. perhaps it's the best for him since the people there are less likely to make fun of his appearance.

Google... Dude, that's over 40cm... Does he have to carry it with his hand or wrap some support around it?

I can't even imagine how he lives his life - I would suggest contacting and hopefully getting surgery from top surgeons (make it an exemplary/study case). The risk of death from hemorrhaging is there, but if I was in his situation I would more than gladly take that risk.
