The .NET platform and associated languages, Java, and other programming languages are simply tools - each and every one has it's use - but people seem to make a religious war of sorts out of it by implying that if you choose one, you cannot possibly touch the other. It's like saying, "If you pick up that wrench then you must /never/ touch a screwdriver again." So very silly.
