But seriously, I've pretty much stagnated on my scores and I feel like at this point it really depends on whether or not I can be focused for 4 hours.
WISH ME LUCK.

I've taken about 12-15 tests overall, with varying degrees of success. This past week though I only took 1 test and really haven't studied at all. I kinda hit a wall in terms of my progress, and I've generally noticed that, when I'm focused... I get everything right, and when I feel like I'm losing focus I start getting stuff wrong. There aren't any particular game types or question types I just don't get, it's all about my focus... so I figured additional studying wouldn't help and I'm just gonna go in free as a bird tomorrow. My friend suggested I take adderall , but I don't have any and don't know anyone who does, thought about trying to go on craigslist, nothing really came up... so I'm just gonna wing it! yaaaa

I dunno about adderall as a self-prescribed study guide lol, but to each his own. Get a good bit of sleep though, especially if its a reasoning and logic test. Cheers

I'm interested by your idea that Canadians should know the constitution, but not any other nations. Please, explain. Is Canada just an extension of America? Is it a language thing? Is it because you don't think their own system of government is worth worrying about?

section 1: reading - raped that shit section 2: logic reasoning - raped it section 3: games - did 3/4 of the games, pretty confident, but ran out of time and guessed D on the last one -- break -- At this point, I was like "ok, I hope the games section was experimental so I can have another chance at a games section to do better..." section 4: logic reasoning 2 - much more difficult than the 1st one, but I didn't feel too bad, nervousness appears for the first time Then I'm like, "ok games next, TIME FOR REVENGEEEEEEEEEEEEE" section 5: reading (*FUCKKKK*) - not only was it REALLY difficult, but that means the first reading that I felt great about was experimental and doesn't count. at this point, I literally made myself sick and almost threw up and had started having back cramps, basically I fucked section 5 up really bad. Really, if one of the first 3 sections is experimental (which I've heard is the case), I'm fucked. It sucks because everything hinged on the final section. I went from possibly acing 3 of the 4 sections, to fucking up 2 of the 4, all because of that second reading one. So ya, I know I won't get the score I want, so I'm considering cancelling it. Thoughts? I have 5 more days to decide.

I don't remember hearing that the experimental section of the LSAT has to be located in a particular part of the test, but I could be wrong (are you sure your information is reliable in this case?).

I was also considering whether if I should retake my LSAT after I wrote it, the primary question simply had to be: If you do decide to re-do it, how confident are you that you will do noticably better in your next attempt? and I guess the only way to judge this non-subjectively (and it's still not all that objective) is to look at your practice results and think about whether if you have hit your ceiling or not... and maybe also whether if you will be able to use your experience from this attempt in a meaningful way next time. Empirically at least, it does seem that people on average tend to do a bit better on their second try (by about a couple of points on the 180 scale). So that's also something to think about.

Same here. How do you know it's one of the first three? Based on the practice exams I've done, it seems like there are always two logical reasoning sections. Therefore, I also concluded that one of the reading sections isn't scored. However, I don't think we can assume it's the fifth and not the first.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_School_Admission_Test#cite_note-5 funny how exam fatigue is more important in gauging the experimental section than in the examinee's scores. ![]()

I did mediocre: 166. Def not what I was expecting. I'd been scoring 172-174 on practices. But! One huge thing that I think boned me. I'd been waking up at noon to 2pm and staying up till 5-6am for about two months prior to the test. Then I tried to change my sleep to something normal two days before the test. Suffice to say, I was pretty fucked up and jittery the day of the test due to my erratic sleep. The test itself I didn't find that stressful or anything. I just think I made some mistakes because I wasn't as sharp as I could be. So if there was one tip I could give... Get good sleep a week in advance. That early morning test time is brutal. Also, don't let any experimentals throw you off. The one I had was a logic games section and it was totally gnarly. Luckily, I got another logic games as my 3rd section and realized the first one must have been the experimental. Seriously, the questions were just wonky, like 6 diff types of puzzles mashed into one with all kinds of wtf throw in there. So yeah, if you get one super hard section, don't let it shake you up ![]()

Not in law school yet. I'm planning to apply for Fall 2013. I'm really undecided about shooting for a T14 school though. I've heard a lot of different opinions from people in the trade. I've also heard a lot of horrible things about big law from people IN big law, so yeah, I'm very iffy on the whole law thing in general haha. I'm really a writer, and just doing the law as a backup plan, so I'm thinking my best bet is to just go to a top 100 school on a full ride, pass the bar, and see what happens job-wise afterwards, without a giant elephant of debt sitting on my face. How bout you? :D
