Yeah i'm consistently massaging it after each game, I'm like 10-0 right now so I don't wanna stop lol.
I think I figured what's causing it: I just got a razer deathadder a month ago and its my first high dpi mouse. Since its so high I'm no longer moving my entire hand to move the mouse. I keep my hand stationary and move only my finger tips and somehow that's really straining my elbow. I think I'll just take a break now and try to play a few games of CS to get used to moving with my entire hand again.
Thanks for the help! I think it doesn't help its cold in here--and muscles tend to tense up more when its cold.
Don't feel obligated to use the maximum DPI setting, especially for the "newer" Deathadders with >3000 or whatever it is DPI.
For RTS you really don't wanna move your arm anyway. The technique people use is "planting" the wrist bone solidly down on the mouse pad and using the wrist to move the mouse side to side and the fingers/thumb to move the mouse front and back.
It's always important to be as comfortable as possible. You should try to use a fairly minimal amount of effort in moving the mouse and be sure not to tense your fingers (index and middle) when clicking. Be in a comfortable spot where you can click and move the mouse around without anything being tense.
If you find yourself having trouble with tension (stress causes you to tense up etc.), try opening paint and drawing ~500 lazy "lines" while concentrating on keeping yourself relaxed (from your toes up to your lower back up to your shoulders).
