I've been observing some common patters between the behavior of football and starcraft fans - indeed some of the pro teams could be compared with a couple of football squads, so this is how I see things:
CJ Entus - Liverpool
Both great teams with fans nostalgic about the glorious past. Winning CL a couple of years ago doesnt really change the fact that Liverpool are hopeless in Premiership, winning WL was a sign a revival, still CJ looks so close and yet so far from winning the Proleague. The fans of both teams are really proud of their homegrown players as well, thinking they are next big thing - Gerrard,Carragher ... Movie and EffOrt. But the reality is just like Liverpool, CJ will never win PL again, and as good as Gerrard, Movie and EffOrt are, they are hardly "the next big thing".
KT - Real Madrid
The comparison has been already made a million times, but right now its actually a bit too far from being true. That doesnt change the fact KT's roster policy was always to buy the super star players from other teams, which in fact they've sort of tried to do in recent years as well, getting Luxury and ForGG who turned out to be utter flops. Just like Real Madrid, KT has genuine fans as well, who cheer and love their teams because of the homegrown talents they've produced - Raul... Flash. It was always easy to become a KT fan, but just like in the case of Real Madrid in recent times, the joy gets balanced out with disappointment.
Samsung KHAN - Chelsea
KHAN are quite good, they really are. One can say January's team is a powerhouse and it will be true. Chelsea are powerhouse as well, they are a super strong squad. But the blatand truth is that no one likes KHAN. And no one likes Chelsea. Both have no fans.
OGN Sparkyz - Juventus
Both teams havent won anything in ages but the most obvious paralel between the two are the match-fixing scandals. Indeed both Juve and OGN have likeable players, but that doesnt change the fact they've cast a shadow over their respected sports.
SKT - Manchester United
SKT and ManU are the biggest clubs in their areas. And their fans know that, in fact every SKT fan knows his team is the best, no matter the current form, the current players - SKT always wins in the end. Its easy to cheer for both as well - T1 are an obvious choice : tons of titles, superstar players, you name it. I was thinking the other day about a possible paralel between Bisu and Beckham - you see, both are really good, but just like David, Bisu became more or less a pop icon in recent time. Guys dont like him, girls love him.
Hwaseung OZ - Napoli
You might think "Napoli, wtf?". Well, Napoli is the team where Maradona reached the peak of his career it the 80s. Just like him, one may say Jaedong is the best player of his generation. But both Napoli and OZ are without a shodow of doubt one man teams. Even by the time Napoli were owning shit in Serie A, I doubt anyone all over the world was a fan of this team for a reason different from Maradona. Oz works the same way as well. Besides Haji and maybe like 2 other guys in the whole forum, the OZ fanboat is floating entirely because of Jaedong. Do you know how Napoli are doing atm? Watch Oz fall into oblivion once Jaedong's career starts to decline ...

If it was a couple years ago I would have said SKT1 is Chelsea. SKT1 has the best line-up and still sucks ass.
I guess the KHAN = Chelsea thing works really well because not only do we not like Chelsea for spending ridiculous amounts of money to change their lineup, the players are either completely up-themselves or buttholes.

Actually switch KT to Barselona, they only have one good player and because of that they are overhyped (and both have plenty of bandwagon fans).
Chelsea has a lot of fans, and they have probably one of the best starting lineups ever, referee bias is the reason they haven't won much.
SKT - Real Madrid... Both team's have the history and the glory to back it up, just compare the champions cup/league to proleague

I might have become an Oz fan because of Jaedong, but I'm a fan of the other players on Oz too. If Jaedong left Oz for some reason I would still be an Oz fan. Besides Oz used to have some good players in addition to Jaedong (Anytime and Forgg), so even though it might be a one man team atm, it hasn't always been.

Chelsea has been quite successful since Abramovitch imo. Before that they didn't have that many big names compared to MU/Liverpool.

Well every time Barca plays against a team of similar strength (Chelsea, Inter, Arsenal), mysteriously the other team gets butt raped by the ref (who is usually from a scandinavian country), the media later says how barca 'dominated' the match with 'beautiful' football while nothing is mentioned about the six blatant penalty's that were not awarded to the other team.
Don't get me wrong, Barcelona has a technically great team, just not that great... Messi is a very very good player, who has just now started to play to his full potential... he wasn't that good before
How about MBC Hero? they had an awesome team a few seasons ago, now not so awesome

even tho i totally can not accept oz . the one man team bullshit ( yea it seems so alot of times) kinda blows. Of course OZ's success stands and falls with jaedong, but if you look at the actual datas (at least from last season, don't know how it is this season) there have always been 1-2 teams which were more a one-man show, even tho nobody wanted to admit that. Hell, they went second in both winners league and proleague overall, you can't do that with only 1 person. Hiya for example won a ton of games, too.
Also there are alot of OZ fans (i guess) from the time of anytime and forgg, where OZ was many things, except a one man team. Plus it's the same with CJ and Savior or something, even tho you come to a team because of a specific person, it doesn't mean you don't start to love the rest or don't care about them as soon as this person leaves.
P.S.: yep, this definitely is a rage post, but I hate hearing this jaedong oz crap.
not that much about the team itself (even tho it sucks too), but mostly this "there are no hwaseung oz fans, only jaedong oz"-bullshit. there might be some, maybe even the majority, but all the generalisation (and I'm damn sure there are more than 1 or 2 who really like OZ and not only jaedong)

That is so completely and utterly wrong that you must either know little about football or are just a typical Madrid fan. Barcelona is the opposite of a one-man team. Almost every goal by Barcelona would have touched half the team before the shot is made.
As much as I like KT, they are nothing like Barcelona. They are more like United or Arsenal this season, who rely on Rooney and Fabregas way too much for their own good, since their other players are injured or "slumping".
