Giveaway is over, Masamune got the key!
Hey guys, I have a key left over and will give it away to the fine gentlemen (and ladies!) inhabiting Liquidia.
You know the drill: convince me to give the key to you, tell me your story, amaze me or make me laugh, whatever you think makes you stand out and increases your chances at the key.
The only qualification you must fulfill is >=400 posts, and please don't even post if you have any less. Spam from five dozen newbies will just make it harder for me to select a winner.
I don't have a 100% guarantee that the key will work, but it should.
The contest will probably be open for a couple of hours, however I see fit. I'll send the key to the winner via PM.

So basically I've been thinking recently of how I would try to take over the world as I have done so many many times throughout my life. And thus, I have found the ultimate solution which involve in different steps. First, I will receive a beta key from you. Then I would be able to play SC2 with your beta key BUT AT THE SAME TIME exploit the beta key and turn it into a business among friends charging them their souls and hearts to me. Once they become my minions bounded by contract via limited play of SC2 beta, I will then spread my influence to a larger audience, both continuing using that same beta key AND doing a lemonade business because it's summer. Since my friends have become minions now, I should be able to amass lots of funds through my lemonade business as well as obtaining more slaves thru SC2 beta. After I claim my fortune, I'll step that up competing into top corporations like google only to secretly work for google as well so I know their insides as well as their minds going against my business. A secret double agent in other words... toward myself! After all that is done, I'll have 51% of the google stocks and forcefully take over google in which I'll use google resources to build us some super tall giant robots or gundams. Then I will use that to forcefully take over USA then Europe, then Asia, and I will take New Zealand last because I want their hobbits to last long as possible without my rule. The End.

My PS3 was stolen so I need something else to do because I can't play SSF4 anymore. I may end up playing Maple Story without a key. Please don't let that happen ):

i frequently post about playing sc2, my experiences in it, i even gave away a couple of keys, but i didnt see where in the OP it said the contest was only for people who have never received a key.
I do still have friends without keys :p

The flaw in your plan is that the Beta will end in summer right before the demand for lemonade rises. You need to think up a new ambitious plan, one that can be fulfilled before July 27th.

That's fair game as long as you can convince me. I was in the same situation until today.
The guy sent me two keys although I only needed one for my friend, I dunno why. The second leftover key is what I'm giving away here. In fact, he asked that I give away on the forums any keys I might get my hands on. Also, it's not like I'm hurting anybody with this contest. It's funny that from among all the things on Teamliquid, this is the one that motivated you to post for the very first time.

Dammit, I knew there was some sort of flaw in my plan in my seemingly thoughtful flawless plan. Hmm... I might have to go for a different sale business instead of lemonade that can synchronize well with the time of SC2 beta....
Oh I know, I'll make a babysitting business! That's right, my minions (that I'll obtain from SC2 beta key) and I will create a place to have parents send their child to the place to babysit during the day while the parents are at work. The ages will be anywhere from 5-15 and we will train these kids to be possibly the next Flash in SC2 by letting them take turns in playing the beta, discuss strategies, watch many VODs and feed them with food that's good for memorizing things which they'll need intensively. When the parents ask what they did the entire day, we will make sure the kids don't tell the parents that they played SC1 and SC2 beta all day and instead say they had fun socializing with each other, made friends, nap time, played some e-sports sports and read books! IT'S THE ULTIMATE PLAN!

Okay sweet, I've been trying to get a key for a friend of mine because it was him and his brother who first introduced me to starcraft. I then became gosu (relatively, of course) in it and would rape then in it afterwards, although one time I underestimated one of them and let them build whatever they wanted--while deciding to browse Team Liquid--and came back to see half my base eaten with guards. Never again! We have played a few lans before recently and I usually stack them and my brother (or whoever plays) with us on one team and I molest them here and there but they usually have a lot of heart. lol I think I'm rambling here as most of our memories don't revolve around starcraft, but they are hardcore gamers and can still list more stats and details about the storyline than I can; it's practically like this with everything save a few final fantasies which I love.
Anyway, my love for SC was so grand that I discovered TL and even though I don't play it as often anymore--save for a few matches with one of my other friend, who is relatively decent but a BGH player (lol, oxymoron?)--I still have a nostalgia for it that prevents me from fully enjoying SC2 (also because my computer is shittier and I play it on low graphics). The friend who I'm trying to get the key for happens to know a lot more about SC2 than I because he's pretty big into video games, but he's more casual in that he likes all of them instead of gaining a liking for only particular ones hardcore like me, so he hasn't gotten a beta key yet. Instead, he just listens to me play SC2 on audio during msn computers calls (sad I know haha).
So hopefully I can get him a key so we can both play SC2 together!
sob element: He also has Crohn's and no life, so hopefully this will give it a little more meaning (or drain what's left of it lol).

Well it's past 6:00 CDT but I dunno if you've picked a winner yet.
I'm trying to get a key for my friend if possible. I managed to win a key from TeamLiquid in a UMS game where we played Mini-Game Party, it was epic.. first to get to ten and it came down to three of us having nine.
Anyways, I promised a friend way before that if I had got a key I would let him play on the account a little bit. He was never big into Brood War and when he did play, he generally only played UMS. However, he's taken a big liking into this game (which isn't necessarily bad). Unfortunately due to a lack of experience in Starcraft, or RTS in general, he's just not very good.
I didn't' play much on the account until my RAM came in a few days ago, and it turns out my friend had played a LOT more than expected. When I logged in the account was Bronze league with a losing record, which is kinda embarrassing. When I played before I was easily platinum (not trying to be cocky or anything.. but I played a LOT of Brood War so it just kinda carries over) so I win all of my games down there, but then I'll log off and he'll log on and lose games, haha. Which makes it pretty much impossible to rank up. We must really, really confuse the rating system though.. sometimes the account dominates bronze players and other times it doesn't stand a chance.
Anyways, it'd be great to get a key for my friend. He has a lot of interest in the game and getting his own key would be great so he could 1. have his own identity and 2. have all the time he wants to play and get better. I plan on training him sometime but yeah. ^^

That game I lost because of browsing TL was in 2004! Can't prove my seniority but I lurked for a long while, but only started doing so often in mid to late 2005.

Sorry guys, I'm waiting for Amnesia to answer. He gave me my own key, so it's hard to argue against giving him a key back if he needs it  Unfortunately I can't tell if he's serious from his post here.
If he doesn't need the key, I'll give it to Masamune. Not only for his story, but also for that little PM exchange we had a few days ago. For you see guys, sometimes it pays off to be a nice guy

I play starcraft in 1999, when he started, this game is the best strategy, and i realy happy when you give me beta key, and also i live in Lithuania, this country is very nice, near my house is castle, look from google earth from orbit, i live like on people on the earth border ), one chance when i will happy, need starcraft 2 beta key, my english words, not very good, i can't write very well. And i watch teamliquid chanels 2 month, when pleayers playing, because i don't have beta key, good people please give beta key ;/

My friend was so excited too lol, but the fact that the battle.net login registration page was down was a bad omen.
Edit: Any kind person have an extra spare key they don't mind giving away???
