Starcraft 2 Patch Problem

I open up SC2 and it just says "Preparing to download new patch." It just stays like that forever. It doesnt show the patch notes or anything, just the patch screen with that message.

Anyone know how to fix this?

There's a thread on blizz forums that has some external links to the patch. I couldn't find it after a quick search and I gotta run to work now. You can look there or maybe someone here will be able to find it and post the link.
I can only play starcraft when I am shit canned. IPXZERG is a god.

Alrighty so I managed to find and install the patch from blizz but what do you do with it after that? It says to extract to the updates folder but that didnt do it. Ideas?

I'm not sure about how to do it manually, but I the same problem with the patch not downloading on my Vista machine. I opened up SC2 a couple times and it would get stuck at "Preparing to download new patch". The next time I opened it I reminded Vista to open it as an Administrator and it updated perfectly. Sorry I can't help you with the manual install. If you run Vista maybe this will help you out in the future.
