Transport movie from computer do DVD?

i find the TL community for reliable than yahoo.answers (there are some retarded people there, no offense).

okay so i have basketball game (Celtics VS Heats) saved on my computer, it was downloaded from torrent, and i want to transfer it to a empty CD so i can have more space in my computer, and also to watch the game whenever im bored. so my question here is how do i do that.

What kind of CD do i need?
How long average does it take to trasnfer? (Its about 800 MB)

a 800MB file isn't going to fit onto a blank CD-R on it's own (you can put it into a zip file to reduce the file size but it's probably more inconvenient than anything). You're going to need to get your hands on a blank DVD disc (DVD-R) and you need to make sure your cd/dvd drive in your computer is capable of writing DVDs.

The best option these days is to put it on some type of flash memory (a USB thumb drive, SD card, etc)

hmm...i have a Memorex DVD+R? (Is it the same as DVD-R?) it says 16x (i dont know what that means) 4.7 gb and 120 minuts and RW (im guessing it means re-writable) so i guess that wont work huh
