[H] Macbook mic acting weird

Nuttyguy United Kingdom1526 Posts May 09 2010 19:08 GMT #1 Macbook Microphone dies out till reboot (the inbuilt one) I use it for skype then like 5 minutes later it just dies and not work, but sometime it picks up like half a second then cuts off and its annoying using a macbook on windows how do i fix it w/o rebooting since it doesnt last long

clock2 United States16 Posts May 09 2010 21:19 GMT #2 its the driver problem. when u run a macbook or macbook pro in windows. the driver for the built in mic rarely functions well. i've had this problem since forever and searched for a solution, but there isn't one.

Had the volume levels ok and everything, but no matter what my friends couldn't hear me. I found this solution: http://www.stuffedcow.net/macbook_audio Downloaded these drivers and it worked like a charm. Never had troubles with my internal mic while in bootcamp ever again.
